A talented young American woman that three of us travelled to Manchester a couple of years back to see in a small club.

Massive Wagons: a good time rock band from Lancaster. They're probably not going to conquer the world but they usually leave me smiling. Foot tapping music and feelgood videos. We need cheering up in these testing times.
First: their tribute to Rick Parfitt when he passed away. They'd been out on tour with Quo and Skynyrd.

An ode that many a band must feel:

And one of their own taking the p*** out of FaceFook idiocy.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

Start off with a bit of country rock.

This kid is supposed to be the best new thing in the blues guitar world right now. He would really improve if he dropped the 'Hi, happy Sunday Guys' from his intro and developed a bit of attitude,... 'If you don't like it, fuck off' would be more comfortable. However, he is good.

A treat for all Beatles fans coming later this year. The Beatles phenomenon is now almost 60 years old and the two remaining Beatles are old men...as are most fans like myself. But...it just won't go away will it? If your a Beatle fan enjoy, if you are younger and don't really know your pop history, maybe have a delve into it...you never know you may turn out to be a fan.

Here's a taste of the early stuff from my favourite album Rubber Soul. The dulcet tones of John giving the warmth of this track.Smile

“I was never a good singer, but if you have a good story, then it doesn’t matter because people want to listen”

Bob Dylan

Never tire of hearing this sixties rock....awe come on...I'm old.Happy

A lovely, gentle 'jazzy' number from English blues singer Jo's 2012 album Almost Always Never.

Magnificent rock song. Fabulous rock voice. Didn't get much better than this. Much missed.

Stuff what they looked like, or wore, just what they sounded like.

No, it's not just you. She definitely sings 'mushy mouthed'. Must be the effect of trying to get by with a Black Country accent in midwest America. Anyway, it never did Jimmy Reed any harm. Wink

Bafflingly, I've just found this song in my digital musical collection and had no recollection of it at all, never mind buying it! Blink
Very nice it is, too, from a band I'm not really bothered about, Thin Lizzy, though it's basically a duet between Gary Moore and Phil Lynot, the songwriters...

A rather spellbinding live cover of a superb Heart song from way back. The magic of live music in an amateur recording...

Shit day at football...again...so it's a bit of classic Rock for me.

This track was only ever released in Australia and yes Bon Scott does actually play the bagpipes on it. Doubt if he did on this occasion though.

Lynyrd Skinyrd classic song. Cool

Classic Rock without the Stones...now that would be disrespectful.

Just the same for Jimi
