Ah, the joys of Kinder Scout. That wasn't something at the side of the route. That was the route.

It was and never a sort of thing that if , in fact, that it was true and then of course the monkey, lol, oh the monkey, it played a part, not bogie-esque, but in the theme, the scheme then it was the case, not the case but of the case so, so, so what, what if? What if it was, but was it ,,,,,,,, oh damn, it's Monday!

If you were on a path, no, you weren't there. Wink

well, well......the Sunday ramble was terrific ....with agreat guide, who even delivered us some snacks and drinks....the top of Win Hill was quite windy and chilly , but we enjoyed the wonderful view.
This visit was different to our last ones : I enjoyed everything else from the game more...Laugh . The game was poorly , but I have met a new lovely English person , and we got a freshly cooked meal by cdlf (you should consider opening a restaurant on your own) , I drank my first ever gin tonic !!, I was served by an excellent employee at waterstone´s who took the time to get us interesting books , we were at an excellent Italian resaurant with lots of good food, wine and conversation (I learnt new words, that I don´t want to repeat ;-) thanks for the laughs , thanks for your true friendships, thanks for pampering us every time we are around , .....and next time, I´m sure, the owls will olay on a better pitch with more enthusiasm and maybe a win again.....I´m looking forward to that day!!

Last week´s hiking made me buy a nav for not getting lost whilst hiking in the Eifel...I want to do some more hiking here again , and as my kids won´t join me anymore, I´ll have a (hopefully) good companian with that nav. (once I have worked it out...)

Did a cracking walk on Sunday, started and finished the the Fox House. Went south through the Longshaw Estate, through the woods above Nether Padley, past the Grouse, up to Froggatt Edge, the views from there were fantastic, back to Carl Wark and Higger Tor, across to Stoney Middleton and Eyam. Then along to Curber Edge, a proper coffee in Curber Gap Car Park. We then headed across to the White Edge, along the whole edge north, back over White Edge moor and over the A625 and up through upper Longshaw Estate back to the Fox House for a pint of real ale before setting off home!

A top walk, 9 miles in all, great walking weather, tee shirt all the way, walking season is backBigsmile

Last weekend we did our 40th walk in the book of 52!

Started at the Snake Pass Inn and went up to Seal Stones....windy as fook up there, but the heather is in full flower, it looked fantastic looking down the valley back to the pub from 600 metres up! Then walked along the Kinder plateau to the waterfall at Fair Brook, then followed the brook back down, through the woods and back to the Snake Pass Inn. Around 6 miles and a 300 metre ascent

Top stuff!

Me and a mate used to do that walk after work in Summer. A mini-classic.
