He's already talked about giving up music and conentrating on writing.

Might be a whiney so and so but the sense of humour is still there!

Gutted about this, I really hope he pulls through. As a younger music fan it is for slightly selfish reasons as I'd love to go to a Smith's gig. I suppose my Johnny Marr guitar pick will have to do for now.
