What a gig!

Why the hell couldn't he have gone out on his own years ago?? Saturday's gig was absolutley fucking excellent, he smashed it out of the park! Played stuff off The Messenger (New Town Velocity, Generate Generate....) and the new album Playland (Easy Money, Playland....), Getting Away With It, Lust For Life, Banana Splits theme! Thumbsup plus a raft of solid gold Smiths tunes, There Is A Light is a monster now, including audience singalong, opening riff to How Soon Is Now had me in goosebumps, not a lull in the night, no fillers, played 20 odd songs and every single one held everyone's attention.

One kid stood in front of me came back from bogs saying "no fucker at the bar and the bogs are empty!", no-one wanted to miss anything.

If a ten tonne truck killed me after the gig I'd have died happy having heard Headmasters Ritual played live!

Thanks Johnny!!

she said, 'I know you boy you cannot sing', I said, 'that's nothing, you should hear me play piano'

Johnny will release his debut live solo album ‘Adrenalin Baby’ on October 9th through Warners. ‘Adrenalin Baby’ documents his energetic live performances over the past three years across a double album. ‘Adrenalin Baby’ was recorded primarily at his Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo shows during Johnny’s ‘Playland’ tour.
