I've just been given the equivalent of a Pineappleing by another site I post on for using the word f**ked (including asterisks) and it made me laugh for about five minutes thinking how the mods there would react to this site.

But it also got me thinking, does posting on here make you less sensitive to language, do you reckon? I never would have used the word in the title of this thread before I joined up here: I still don't use it anywhere else but on OO. Is everyone else as sweary in real life as they are on here?

And finally, do you reckon I'd be right to feel aggrieved for my aforementioned dressing-down, given the site in question features the words bollocks and bitch, uncensored, in numerous places? Is an asterisked-out fuck really that much worse than a plain text bitch? As I say it just made me laugh but I get the feeling I was close to a ban and that would have pissed me off.

Who's that passing out of defence? Is it Van Aken, Joost Van Aken?

Language depends on who your with and where you are. **** language is exactly the same.

To me the key is the context of where, when and why is key.

Here there is a lot of latitude for **** language because its not important in the scheme of things compared to opinions on players, the team etc, so offence is not taken in regards to **** language just how good players, managers are or were.

Elsewhere on social media like t*****r, people are there because they have no life or opinions, they only want to be offended by someone or something, including **** language, but don't expect them to be consistent on it as sometimes the using ** in a word can highlight it more them and offend more than using the word uncensored.

People are daftly stupid when it comes to **** language, they are Victorian prudes when it comes to **** language. They believe they can stop their kids from learning if they don't use **** language or allow them to see anything with **** language in it. As if it worked for them.

(And they use you-tube an uncensored babysitter)

Better to use **** language in context and appropriate setting, and explain its use to kids so they can use it appropriately in context and setting, and then have the satisfaction of telling you off when you get it wrong.

I always find it Gauling when I see Asterixes.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

This site is an outlier when it comes to language, that's for sure. Because all the other sites are full of fucking c**ts.

Actually, this site is full of c**ts too, but at least you can tell them.

You say that but you could just as easily be calling folk clots due to the censorship on here.
