Jut watched penultimate Taboo. Really grown into a fantastic series.

Looking forward to SS GB. Haven't read the book but similar to Fatherland and Dominion by Robert Harris and CJ Sampson respectively.

Fatherland seems quite similar but based in nazi Germany in the late 50's.

Dominion is based in nazi England with Churchill as a terrorist / freedom fighter.

Both worth a read

I had reservations when the leading man sported a distinctly non forties haircut...when you are doing a period drama, the devil is in the detail.Um

There's lots of complaints about poor sound/mumbling actors in TV dramas recently.
That said, SS-GB was deathly dull. Stopped watching it after 25 minutes. Even the lead actor looked bored.

I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!

Who's watching Apple Tree Yard? I can't wait for the final episode tonight to see what happens.
Mouse, 06/02/2017 at 19:32

Just watched it all on catch up, after the first episode it became compulsive watching, though I must admit, you wouldn't let yourself get that far into trouble without telling someone which made the story a bit unreal, but enjoyed it overall!
