I remember Peter Sallis from the first series of Summer Wine with Bill Owen and Michael Bates, watching it with my Dad (RIP). Probably his favourite programme. Brilliant writing played out by a cast of top actors and actresses, but Cleggy held it all together.

Nick Park has said there was only one person he wanted for Wallace. Peter Sallis was perfect and a key component to the success of Wallace and Gromit.

A sad loss.
