Nolan's card was marked when Hardy brought Steve Chettle in from Ilkeston as first team coach.
Chettle doesn't want the job but has been told he's probably got it for a month or so.

Nolan was trying to play a different style this season and was backed financially by Hardy after reaching the playoffs but they were sitting pretty in automatic before only winning 8 since last January.

So you all need to just accept I was right about him Ninja

County fans not exactly inspired by that. Reckon they've got Nolan mk2 seeing as Kewell didn't pull up trees at Crawley and Nolan didn't set Orient alight.

Majority wanted Gary Caldwell, as he knows the league, knows the club and has worked with Crossley and Chettle before but I don't think he was even considered

Think I read somewhere the other day there's only 5 Scottish managers in the top four leagues in England. Stuart McCall made it 6 and Caldwell would've taken the figure up to 7, but not to be.

Remember when there were quite a few Scottish managers down yonder. Not nowadays. One too many David Moyes-esque failures!
