The current pair are doing well therefore allowing Lees time to get 100% match fit. Can't understand the panic statement.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours.

"blow"??? How? Lees hasn't been missed, the big "blow" would be losing Borner, he's the leader of that defence.

It’s down to you now Garry!!! OH, AND FUCK THE EFL!!!!

Those statements are not to paint the Hillsborough club faultless in their handling of racism, of course, far from it. Whatever your view on how the Fernando Forestieri case has been handled, to allow his suspension to end on Friday without starting the FA’s mandatory education course was absurd in the extreme; to describe it as an ill-timed PR oversight would be very generous.

I just briefly went on The Star's website after reading a comment about anti-Wednesday bias on another thread. What do I find...

https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/ sheffield-wednesday/latest-owls-news/shef field-wednesday-suffer-defensive-blow-ahe ad-stoke-city-tussle-817149

...so with the Iorfa/Borner central defensive pairing we've let in 6 goals in 7 league games. But the fact that Lees won't be fit for tomorrow is a 'defensive blow'. Utter Wankers.

Lifted from the Alex Miller article on today's Show Racism the Red Card conference at Hillsborough.
https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/ sheffield-wednesday/latest-owls-news/comm ent-bulgaria-outrage-subsides-anti-racism -charities-must-be-supported-reverse-tren d-back-home-816219

The club really need to look at this article closely as it paints the club in a racist light and Miller miss quotes to do it.

"Kick It Out Head of Development Troy Townsend was outspoken in his criticism of both club and player when commenting on his failure to start the course, claiming the 29-year-old should not be allowed to play until he has done so and questioning the message it sends out."

What Townsend actually said was
"Anyone found guilty of an offence should go through an education process whilst they are serving their term - before stepping back onto the pitch

This was in an interview for an article Nancy Frostick did in The Athletic.

Miller incorporates this into his piece and looks to pass it off as his own
"Hillsborough club faultless in their handling of racism, of course, far from it. Whatever your view on how the Fernando Forestieri case has been handled, to allow his suspension to end on Friday without starting the FA’s mandatory education course was absurd in the extreme; to describe it as an ill-timed PR oversight would be very generous"

However it's a n extension of a tweet made by Alex Kay-Jelski, chief editor of The Athletic and sent out on Friday with a link to Frostick's piece to drum up site traffic.
Forestieri to return from racism ban despite not yet starting mandatory education course. This just doesn't feel right from player and club

Townsend has distanced himself from the direct references to Forestieri.

I believe Forestieri's legal team contacted both the FA and Kick It Out as soon as he was found 'guilty' and asked for a date for the education course. I also believe he's still waiting for that date.

According to UK law he was not guilty of racist comments.
Has John Bercow got a part time job at the EFL/FA?

Wonder what DCs policy will be on length of contracts after this season.

Will it be long term contracts again or short term and loans?
