Yep we get some parachute payments distribution too
Reesh1867, 04/08/2020 at 23:12

How does it work, that?

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

I suspect by bank transfer. But the serious answer is that because they get full EPL payments part of what was earmarked as a parachute payment gets redistributed to the Championship clubs.

Given clubs are always swapping leagues though not sure on why. For each club going up one comes down requiring parachute payments

So the only uncertainty on the composition of the Championship is us and any appeal.

But given they were supposedly issuing fixtures 3 weeks before the season starts in mid September and that would cross over any appeal time limit by us I think we are where we are

Happy clapping for 4 years more than Emre

So do we think Brentford will piss it next season? I don't think they'll have much to fear let's put it that way.

I guess it's going to depend on what happens to their squad but they seem to make good decisions on the whole when it comes to their squad. So no reason to think that they won't be toward s the top.

The Brentford set up seems to demonstrate that you can swap the coach if you have a good squad and a clear expectation on how you play. As oppose s to the belief that it's the coach/ manager that makes all thedifference.

Be nice to have one or the other!

Brentford are like a little Southampton.

System picked.

Players and coaches employed that fit in

You really think Southampton still use the same playing style under Hasenhuttl as they did under Nigel Adkins, Claude Puel, Mark Hughes, etc.?

Nope. They've no bottle.

It all depends on the business done in the window (I know that probably seems obvious), but depending on who the three that came down have managing them next season and how much of their playing squads they are able to keep will be key (or at least if they cash in, how they are able to replace) in who's challenging at the top

Last time I looked, Brentford had a goal difference of plus 42! They just need to keep doing that, I'd say.

Serves them right for not playing in their proper kit
Oh I forgot they were "away" so that kit talks louder in the money stakes than 131 years of tradition (ok 95 years of red and white)

Indeed, though the question was about next season.
