I’ll keep saying it, if we’ve fucked up and falsely accounted in some way, we deserve to take the strongest punishment going, we’d be saying that if it was another club, but......have we broken any rules? Does anyone actually know? It’s pure speculation and conjecture by everyone, the default position of our mongs is to slang the chairman off, racially insult him and tell him to "get out of our club", all this on the basis of fuck all.

IMO this is Gibson, Mel Morris’ shithousery, the complete clueless fuckwits at the EFL and them wanting a scapegoat.
MPB, 19/11/2019 at 10:06

I agree with that, falsely accounting is not acceptable, particularly if its intended to deceive someone that is regulating the clubs - who else would it be for in this case.

Out of interest though how would this compare with the other reasons for fines/ penalties handed out to the likes of Brum? The reason Brum got a slap may have been under P&S but I understood it was because they ignored the embargo, which we havent. Just wondering if the fine will be different becuase of the nature of the breach of the rules - straws and clutching!

We had a steady ship under MM.

Fuck that i want a speedboat bouncing over the waves to the Prem.

May get a bit wet, may be prone tobreaking down or sinking but gimme that lovely sky TV cash and a string of mercenary internationals any day of the week.
Andyben, 19/11/2019 at 11:38

I agree mate, we did have a pretty steady ship under MM, I was just hoping that was going to continue but with the planned investment to get us in the PL.

I like the analogy of the speedboat, unfortunately it had a hole in the hull.

I think you could be right, assuming we get found guilty, which as I said before I think we will, its not a court of law we are dealing with, its the EFLs own judgement.

It is pure speculation totally agree, but my point is really that we should not have been in a position where we are even debating this

We have potentially gone down a big hole with sadly bugger all to show for it. Daft thing is the accounts for the play off season weren't so bad. The issue has come from trying to build on it but in a totally unplanned way both in a football sense and financial sense

So I am not resigned to being found guilty. You can't have a lower burden of proof on annual accounts to suit the EFL and there will be plenty of vested interests from the professionals involved here if they try to.

I wouldn't want the regulator breathing down my neck if this was flagged up to them. Hard enough dealing with them under normal circumstances

I get what you're saying and this is where DC can take some flak, the apparent accumulation of players with very few sales, his bowing to fan pressure to sign the likes of Rhodes etc, which put us in breach of FFP and forced the ground transaction.

You need buyers for players though and Hunt aside we had wait for contracts to expire to offload wages, eventually having embargo’s placed on us, that was naivety, I agree!

This is why I don’t for one minute believe the club have been stupid enough to lie, cheat or act dishonestly, legally the club have had to toe the line and adhere to the EFL’s FFP rules n regs for what must be about 2yrs now, so DC ain’t gonna just think fuck it and insert a blatantly false account, a £60m false account at that!!!

This is the EFL looking for an example, they thought they’d got Derby but Morris gave them a fuck off tablet, Villa got out via the play-offs and Reading were too small fry at £25m in comparison to be made a weighty example of.....that leaves us, the club the EFL think are a push-over, this is why it pisses me off that our mongs are almost siding with the EFL instead of joining forces WITH the club to give the EFL our own fuck off tablet.

SACK MONK NOW!!!! OH, AND FUCK THE EFL!!!!

All I can say having been an auditor and faced the scrutiny of both my annual reviewer and my regulator - if you want to see this fat lad sweat then that was your chance - if a 60m transaction had been just ticked off then all I can say is good luck

Why I can't believe it will have been.

I always hypothesised that the reason for the late filing of the accounts was reservations from the auditor - and the inclusion of that transaction certainly would have explained it

Brum got a points deduction when it meant fuck all, add on 9 and they still wouldn’t have troubled the playoffs.

We probably have but despite the fact that right noises will be made by Monk and the players we know its bullshit and that the risk of a points deduction will hang over us now until determined.

Let's be clear the reason a player wants promotion is to get a higher salary. So you will work your arse off with that objective in mind.

If that prize is going to be withdrawn it's only human nature to drop your performance level and indeed concern yourself about whether your contract will be renewed on the same terms.

That is why football is a bag of shit pal.

You do that at your place of work, and you are out of the door.

Do it in football and some other clown signs you and gives you more money.

It is just riddled with bent fuckers.

The slow speed of the disciplinary process is almost as damaging as the end result

Whilst the EFL charges are in place, are we also going to be under a transfer embargo come January?

Its now or never

Whatever fooks us up to the maximum, it'll be that.
I know, they'll decide that we ought to have still been under embargo last summer so all our signings are invalid. And all the ones we waited years to get rid of are back on the payroll.
The move after that is a gimme. Deduct us points from every game this season when we've played (the new) invalid players.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.
