Whilst the EFL charges are in place, are we also going to be under a transfer embargo come January?
Beaconowl , 20/11/2019 at 12:06

It would be grossly unfair to place us under an embargo whilst the allegations are unproved.

If an embargo were in place and we missed promotion, then the charges proved to be false then EFL would be in difficult position.

As I said, grossly unfair. So we probably are.

This is the last time I'm painting on a grin.

EFL now recruiting for a "Club Financial Reporting Manager."
Surely before they wade into disputes clubs with accountants and solicitors they should have been employing of this stature already.
Hopefully they are getting out of their depth.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours.

Points deduction - north of 12 points
Large fine
Embargo

Odds on they've already decided on this.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.

The answer to all this is simple, win all our remaining games and then any points reduction will be gobbled up. I'm really surprised no one else has thought of this wizard wheeze.Hm

You seem to forget, if we win the league by a record points, they’ll just whittle our points away.

Say we need 25 points to survive, our punishment will be 26. If the Forestieri case is owt to go by, we’re fucked

They have to find us guilty first. I appreciate some think it has been determined already. We don't know what is being said in the correspondence or the points being raised. But if it's about the accounts then there is no lower burden of proof to find you guilty shit. The arbitrator on that would I guess be an independent accountant

( one based just outside MK for example)

Does SWFC have a financial director? Or a club accountant that put this shit together?
Cause someone signed it off and sent it the EFL.

People are losing focus on what this is all about basically. The rules regarding FFP are already discredited because of the huge distorting parachute payments to relegated clubs. The clue to this is the inclusion of the word "fair" in the title. The financial sustainability rules are great for clubs without a commited wealthy backer so long as the EFL follow their own fit and proper person rules which they patently are not doing. This leaves us with an organisation that are in effect at war with their own members over their insistence of strict adherence to rules that are discredited (FFP) and, in our case, unnecessary (sustainability)
It's like the rules and their enforcement has become the raison d'être for their existence rather than the administration of football.

The EFL is totally unfit for purpose. Different penalties awarded for the same offences. Now they are appealing a tribunal appeal that has suspended a points deduction for Bolton. They are proving to be a very vindictive group striving to prove that they are Billy Bigbollox instead of trying to manage the affairs of the member clubs fairly, impartially and without prejudice or bias. When a Private Members group in parliament said their treatment of Bury was draconian and BFC were not given time to allow a new takeover to progress and rescue them and recommended the club's reinstatement, they totally blanked it. They are now proving that they have proven targets amongst the clubs. Let's hope DC gets his religious pal to piss all over them.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours.

So assuming we're found guilty, which no doubt the FA will conclude and give us a points deduction, do we then gain another 3-year loss making accounting period or are we facing this bollocks every season now?
