A great fast bowler, and still only 3 other England bowlers have taken more test wickets. Will always be a legend because of his 8-43 at Headingley in 1981, but also as a pundit because of his unflinching honesty 'coming in off his long run' to say what he thought, and more often than not, what everyone watching thought. Especially when England's batting had collapsed again.

That 1981 test came straight out of a boys comic book story alongside Paddy Payne and Roy Race.
For that alone I've always had an affection for him. RIP Bob
