Haven't seen this anywhere else but Willie Henderson has raised 15k to buy a colposcope for Jessops. The donation was made through his late daughter's charity. She died of cervical cancer in 2012
Now 75 he raised the money trekking through the Sahara and Gobi deserts.
he said he wanted to make a donation to Sheffield because of the warm welcome he was given by the city and Wednesday fans.

“Sheffield was fantastic to me at what was a difficult time, having left Rangers after so long,” he said.

“The rapport I had with the fans could not have been better, and I have never forgotten what the Sheffield people did for me, it was two of the best years of my life. So I wanted to give something back.” er-Sheffield-Wednesday-Player-Donates-Col poscope-To-City-Hospital

Great gesture. A lovely tribute to his daughter.

I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!

A very sad story in the first place but made into a good one by one man's love of his daughter's memory.

Nice to read what he said about us. He was definitely one of my favourite players. A real cult figure. As we used to say at the time, if he's like this at the end of his career, goodness knows what he must have been like in his prime as a 'superstar' at Rangers!

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

Seen this about two weeks ago but unsure where, maybe Twitter. Brilliant, just brilliant.
