ITV are showing Euro 96 in full this summer.

Andyben, 31/03/2020 at 08:59

I'll drink to that, (assuming I still can.) Don't tell me any scores, though!

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

What happens to Bury out of interest if the seasons never counted, could they claim their place back?
holmesfield_owl, 30/03/2020 at 19:09

EFL will make the rules up as they always do, Bury won't be re-admitted and Bolton will be expected to start with the same deduction.
Otto_Man, 30/03/2020 at 19:59

Bolton just been taken over in a £17m deal of staggered payments, including the hotel. They were told last Tuesday they had eleven days to get the deal done.
Head of the consortium is a property developer who owns several property and property management companies and that stadium is sitting on a prime bit of brown field estate.

Bury fans group demanding they be let back in as they've raised the £7m Dale wants for the club and they've an investor ready to fund a playing roster.

Outcome of all this? A ban for Forestieri & another 6pts for us

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to grip the nation and the world, Sheffield Wednesday can confirm revised internal measures effective from 1 April 2020.

In the best interests of all staff and to help safeguard the future of the club, a significant number of employees are being furloughed as part of the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Remaining staff are working from home, with the main stadium and training ground locked down.

The job retention scheme guarantees 80% of regular renumeration up to £2,500 per month but SWFC chairman Dejphon Chansiri has pledged all furloughed members of staff will continue to receive full salary.

The landscape will be reviewed at the end of April as we digest fresh information on an almost daily basis in this fast-paced environment.

On the playing side, Premier League and EFL clubs are currently in talks with the PFA to how best agree a conciliatory solution regarding potential pay deferral.

Sheffield Wednesday stay committed to assisting our community in any achievable way during these unprecedented times. Our COVID-19 appeal, launched last week to raise much-needed money for essential local charities, remains open and all donations, however big or small, are gratefully accepted.

The fund currently stands at an impressive £22,540 –

For more information and how to donate.

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we can only reiterate the vital messages shared around the globe – stay at home and only leave when necessary, exercise within guided parameters, wash your hands thoroughly, maintain social distancing and above all, please stay safe.

We hope to see you all again soon.

What he paid himself last year is irrelevant. Completely different set of circumstances.

No, i wasnt clear, he's receing a £4m bonus for delivering the new stadium, even though it was late, on top of his £3m salary.

And its entirely relevant, as he's CEO and if he is running the club on such a tight line that they can't afford to pay non-playing staff , while paying the first team squad several million pounds per week, then his business model is clearly not working and, therefore, he doesn't deserve his bonuses

Easy solution as Chancellor.

From 6th April the tax rate for earnings above 100k per annum will be 100%

See them all suddenly take pay cuts

Happy clapping for 4 years more than Emre

Can’t link it but have a read on any thread that brings up DC, first to pounce are those two, 90% of that message board applaud what DC is doing, those two cannot stand it, so try to rubbish DC in any way they can.

edit: applaud DC in topping up peoples wages during furlough...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footbal l/article-8173173/Coronavirus-UK-voiding- Premier-League-EFL-seasons-cause-chaos.ht ml

Interesting article on the potential consequences and chaos if the season is voided. Had to laugh when it was mentioned that the EFL would have to give club's 'very detailed guidance' on the appropriate actions to take regarding players contracts and loan agreements between club's... hardly their forte. Laugh

I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!
