Self obsessed wankers, just scrap the fucking season

Talk about insignificant
Paul from Wisewood, 06/04/2020 at 23:49

Scottish QC, working for the Belgian League, has issued a statement to the SPFL basically saying cancel the league now as UEFA won't have a leg to stand on if it tries to follow through with its European competition expulsion threat. There's nothing in UEFA constitution to back up the threat as long as a league declares who won and who qualified and not just void a season with no positions allocated.
Reckons UEFA are shitting themselves over lost Champions league revenue and the possible formation of a breakaway super league with the TV backing.

UEFA, FA, EPL & EFL and any I’ve missed! all want their bluffs calling, in their own different ways they’re only acting to prop up 3 or 4 teams in each major league, the rest of the various pyramids can go fuck themselves as far as that lot are concerned.

Really hope there’s the loud pop of a stinking great bubble bursting very soon, get football back to the recognisable sport it was 30 years ago.

Over half the “1st Div” had a chance of top 3 in those days (see SWFC season ‘91/‘92), You didn’t have to assemble a +£300m squad to have a shout of doing it either.

Not exactly true though, is it. It was exactly the same as today with a small group of clubs dominating, with the occasional outlier winning a sole league trophy and occasionally an other team outide the big 6 getting in the top 2/3

It's remembered with misty eyes how anyone could win the league and it wasn't just the richest clubs...except that it was, back and forth between Liverpool and Everton when I was growing up, particularly poignant in 85-86 when Liverpool won it, Everton finished second and they played each other in the cup final.

i looked it up earlier in the past 50 years, 40odd championships havebeen won by Liverpool, ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City & Everton.

Derby , Forest, Villa, Leeds, Blackburn & Leicester are the only other winners.

Those Top 6 & 6 winners also came second & third more often than not (80ish out of 100 times), with the likes of Newcastle, Ipswich, Southampton, Wenzdi, Spurs occasionally snatching something

Just seen this. Asymptomatic but tested positive a couple of days ago. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.examin erlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/sheffiel d-wednesday-striker-sam-winnall-18056862. amp

I suspect that is probably true about several million people in the UK at the moment, but as the test rollout is predictably shit, who knows.

Had the test out of curiosity.

What a waste of a test. How did it get it? Should have been given to someone who is more in need and more deserving.

Rees Mogg for one. He's actually calculating how much he can make out of this. MPs have just been offered a £10,000 bonus for the inconvenience of having to work from home!!!

Footballers an easy target for incompetents like Hancock. Let's hope the pay disparity is addressed when we get back to some kind of normality. Priti Patel will be horrified that unskilled workers will have helped us through this crisis.

Haha, I’m hardly heartbroken by it. Not some kind of faux offence either.

Some bloke who doesn’t have symptoms decides to get a test because he’s wealthy and can. When there’s people out there far more worthy and in need.

Strange you’ve taken such a reaction to my comment actually.

The £10k is to buy kit for MPs staff.

That'll be their spouse and kids with a new Apple Mac then.
