We've had a few posts for next season in this years thread so it's time for a new one.

Fox has been linked with Rangers and West Brom. WBA are also apparently in for Fletcher but that probably depends on which league they'll be playing in.

Hoyland also dug up some rumour from about 6months ago about a kid from West Ham who has been at Oxford this year.

No-one's now allowed in or out of Rockley Road on match days. It's the crux of SAG's new S6 Security Plan: 'Operation Shutdown'.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

There’s a player in Matt Penney, thought he was awful defensively, and is one of the worst headers of a football I have ever seen, which is an issue for a full back. But, has a good left foot and looks a threat going forward. And I wonder how much Jos played in his defensive frailties too.

We were one of a number of clubs tracking Bez Lubala at Crawley before their season ended.
Winger/wide forward with a shed load of pace and a knack of arriving in front of the full back if the ball is pinged far post.
Likes to carry the ball if he sees the gap and will attack defenders if given half a chance.
Released by Birmingham and signed by Crawley in 2019. Year left on his contract unless Crawley trigger the extension.

He's more of an attacking midfielder from what I remember of him in his Dundee Utd days (likes a bit of a trick), so not really a replacement for Hutch.

Like ECO says, more of the attacking mid in a central two.
Formed a half decent partnership with piggy Quinn this season.

11 goals in 72 league 1 games.
This season 5 in 30 with 11 assists.

If we're getting Windass then I can't see the point in Fraser. He won't come to warm the bench when he could probably move up going somewhere like Rotherham or Coventry, where a couple of Burton players went last season.

Fraser and Windass similar age and similar type of player.

It might be that his loan contract was only until May 31st and he wont be on Hamburgs player list given to the league.
So if he's not signing an extension with us then he's in limbo until the transfer market opens up again.

Rumour on stalk saying we're after Mason Bennett, from Derby currently on loan at Millwall, can't say I know anything about him but they're not impressed on there, is this a sign of where we're going. I'm OK' ish with getting Dawson, Penney, Urhoghide, Pelupessy (not so much) but they aren't fully ready yet, starting to get a little worried where this is going.

Played almost every game under Lampard and considered an integral part of Derby for years to come.
Signed a one year extension with the option of another year.

Then got done for drink driving as part of that Richard Keogh incident. Was ostracized by a lot of players after his return from his club ban who thought it was his fault Keogh was injured and then sacked. Apparently Bennett was acting the c**t all night at this players do, before they got in the cars.

Now a Snapchat video has been leaked of him driving past Pride Park shouting "fucking burn". He's admitted it but said it was a private joke between him and Graeme Shinnie, who was also in the car.

If we'd have got him off the back of the Lampard season then, at 23, I'd have said it was a good acquisition. But he's not exactly shone while on loan at Millwall and has been fined several times for attendance at training.

There's a player in there but it's whether he can be bothered.

Why is it that these players have no idea how fortunate they are to be in the position that they are & the careers they could have....

So many players over the years that have had the potential to push on, be a top player but all they want to do is act the twat.

We're shopping in the bargain basement now, the money is blown and we have to try and pick players that can show some balls compared to the squad we've had/ have.

I suspect we will have a few players coming in over the next couple of years that we'll all be wondering who/ why etc. On the bright side we managed to get promoted in 84 with a mixed bag of players and the blunts didn't exactly smash the bank (at least until the season they were odds on to go up and even that that was small-ish scale.
