Apparently it is not a clear out as such in as much as some of them declined the offer on the table thinking they may get a better deal elsewhere. That is their choice and our choice is whether to keep the offer open.

FWIW, Forestieri shared an image on Instagram about it being dangerous to only listen to one side of the story. Whether he's allowed to show his side remains to be seen. I'm not sure his side would matter regardless if he ends up signing for L**ds or someone similar.

A lot of this is probably down to the coach not being in full control of player recruitment. Chansiri had Pearson and Roeder when he first took over then Carlos, Amadeu, and Doyen turned up.
Carlos had a way of playing (he'd written a book) but then strange signings turned up that didn't fit in that way.
Then came the two players for every position debacle.
Jos decided to play the kids rather than the over staffing he inherited, maybe because he thought he could mould them better to his way of thinking. I'm pretty certain he wasn't involved in any signings during his stint.

Bruce brought his own recruitment team in and it showed promise. I actually think we'd have been getting rid of the same players If Bruce had stayed. He likes his own players and we'd have seen more ins and outs in January as well.

Monk was left with a hotchpotch of Chansiri/Paixao buys and Bruce incomings. He's done nothing with them.
He'll still be around At the start of next season so it'll be an interesting transfer window and pre season.
But, as others have pointed out, he's not exactly made astute signings in the past. Anyone who spunks £14m and £40k a week on Assimbalonga and £10m on Martin Braithwaite needs their bumps feeling

That’ll be Assombalonga who’s better than owt we’ve got and Braithwaite who now plays up front for Barcelona?

No confirmation on durations, may have only been offered extensions until the end of the season

Didn't take long!

Happy Wink Thumbsup

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

The Man U release list looks interesting.

Ethan Hamilton & George Tanner worth a good go, reckon Mitchel & Borthick-Jackson will already have clubs

And Mitchell needs to screw his head back on again. The difference between his first loan spell at Hearts and his second was night and day.

Apparently Penney and Van Aken are eligible to play for us for the rest of the season after a rule change. That's left back covered, or even left wing back.

Knowing the EFL, they will still dock us points if we play either of them

Givens. Stein. Hopkins .Elliott .Unsworth.. Heroes, one and all. Add Simonsen to the growing list

Provides a more mobile LCB than Börner, and a left winger with a left peg that can beat a man and will get lime on his boots

May not be true.

Apparently only applies if league curtailed. BL2 has not been

After playing all matches? If so, don't count.

If the season is affected by players leaving at the end of June, does this mean new signings can play or we can sign unattached players for a month?

The answer then is to get better players around him and a system he can thrive in and be more effective further up the park.
He isn't the problem. The lesser players who don't work or want the ball anywhere near as much as Bannan, and are happy to dump the ball off to him to do their job instead are the problem.

Proud mum at her soldier son's passing out ceremony

"Look that's my little Johnny, why are all the other soldiers marching out of step"

Bannan doesn't have the positional discipline to be an effective central midfielder, and doesn't have the skills or capacity to play as a '10'

Edit: Franco, we can't afford better players, so perhaps selling him would be in the club's best interests?
Andyben, 25/06/2020 at 10:08

Only if we definitely have someone just as good or better lined up, and we're being offered multi-millions for him. To do otherwise would be monumentally stupid.

If Bannan is out of step with his teammates, it's because he's by far consistently the most skilful, creative, motivated and hardest working player. When he's not playing, we create the square root of fuck all goalscoring chances. Yet amazingly it's his fault that we have a dull, boring, losing side - rather than the players of lesser ability, character and/or desire that he's been increasingly surrounded by over the last two seasons? Absolutely ridiculous.

I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!
