He'd have done a bit better than Bronco from 1962 onwards...

Arsenal
Baker recovered from his injuries and he returned to the UK in July 1962, joining Billy Wright's Arsenal for a club record fee of £70,000.[3] He made his debut against Leyton Orient on 18 August 1962, and in all spent four seasons with the Gunners. For three out of those four seasons (1962–63, 1964–65 and 1965–66) he was the club's top scorer; in total he scored 100 goals in 156 games in all competitions, making him one of the club's most prolific goalscorers of all time.

His pace and acceleration made him a highly effective and dynamic attacker, and he was equally adept with his feet and his head, despite his lack of height. With Geoff Strong he formed one of Arsenal's most prolific striking partnerships, but Arsenal's defence could not match the quality of their attack, which meant they were unable to finish above 7th in the league during his time at the club.[3]

Did you look that up at the back of one of your cigarette cards?

Keith Ellis's record is a goal every other game. Was he a great centre forward?

All this crap about liking it somewhere but you win nothing really annoys me.

At work I've had to endure a 360 degree review and apparently I have a 75% approval rating or whatever its called. Accompanying the review was areas of improvement. Fuck off

When I challenged this shit with facts like the team now producing monthly accounts in 5 days instead of the inherited 20 days, stats for 10 companies out in 3 months and not 9, budgets and forecasts more accurate etc I was confronted with silence.

It's about winning, being the best, over achieving not 'being a nice place to work' fuck that, it's even nicer to win, to improve and to be the best you can be.

Until this changes, we'll win fuck all.

So, you have a 25% negative rating, need to improve and a bad attitude to criticism......

A few weeks prior to Carlos's departure, a group of our players in a pub were saying to all who would listen, words to the effect "he has to go or we go."I mentioned this in confidence at the time to one of our admin. Strange, that the most vociferous of this group, now no longer at the club, seems to be saying things differently.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours.

Fucking hate 360s.
Last one I had was full of stuff like you need to network more, you need to be more corporate, you need to sell yourself and change people's perceptions.
My 'mentor' ( all managers have one. Stupid HR thing) sits me down and asks how WE are going to change this.
Cue rant from me that whenever a director wants something doing quick they come to me. All the projects I've completed. 80 day process down to 8 days. Another one where I saved the company over a million quid by refining a process then they gave it to another dept who thought they could do better and it went £2m over budget.

I proper went off on one.
Now I don't have a mentor, don't have to do 360 evaluations any more, and still get asked to do projects because those that matter know I can do the job.

Fuck the rest of middle management. Don't care what they think.
