Regardless of the EFL's responsibility in all this the points deduction still has to hold.
A separate enquiry can be made into the sanction of both sales.

If the EFL cancel the points deduction in order to deflect then they set a dangerous president for other clubs that could just say 'our owner wasn't fit and proper and you sanctioned the sale'.

If even half of that is true then it would still be a huge story.

I suppose if someone came out and said the whole thing was corrupt, owners, agents, the FA, EPL and EFL and media being paid to not look would I be surprised

Happy clapping for 4 years more than Emre

How shits Dave Whelan at choosing buyers though? Can't work out if he's actually in on any shenanigans, can't be that stupid twice.

Sky had a football soap opera called Dream Team . I seem to remember one of the plot lines was very similar with a manager paid by a betting syndicate to relegate a club

One episode of that had Carbones goal at Blackburn in 1997 as footage.

Sky should have had Dream Team reruns on during lockdown.

Missed a trick.

Karl Fletcher, Monday Bandele, Jamie Parker, Curtis Alexander, Louis Amor Rodriguez, Marcel Sabatier. What a team.

The Whelan family is one of the interested parties. Both Whelan and Sharpe have said as such in separate radio interviews.

It's already been mentioned by Krasner that Whelan sold the club to IEC on the advice of someone he trusted, Darren Royale, who immediately became chairman when IEC took over. Now there's a coincidence.
I suppose you trust the people around you and the EFL fit and proper person test and the money showing in the bank

I bet he fucking is Ty, that's my point. Remove the word Wigan and replace it with JJB sports and you've pretty much got exactly the same story.

Sold a business he supposedly loves to someone he 'trusts' (for a massive profit), this trustworthy party runs the business into the ground. Whelan swoops in and picks up the pieces (at a massively knocked down price)...you couldn't make it up (twice)

I can honestly say I've never watched it. Football dramas are ok up to a point but I find the 'match action' is just so fake.

I was surprised to see Mr. Reesh mention that Carbone's goal at Blackburn was used as footage. If I'd known they were using proper action, I might've been a tad more interested!
