Grassroots football has been given the go ahead to start in September, second wave pending. Everything from kids football up to Conference North/South has been cleared to start.
Full details to come out sometime next week.

Also, in the same statement, it'll be announced that clubs can allow season ticket holders in from next season but you might not be in your seat.
Details are being finalised across the club's but I'm hearing the following.
If social distancing is still in place then there'll be no away support allowed.
Home season ticket holders will be allowed but social distancing may mean you're not in the seat you paid for.
Eg, if there quarters of the Kop is season ticket then half of those may find themselves on the Lepp.
It's being put in place so clubs don't have to issue a refund.

Will we still have to exit via penistone road?

I'd be happy to relocate from theNorth to the top tier of the Lepp Lane for a season, just for the novelty - I wonder how many season ticket holders we actually have for next season, 15,000?

I can see the logic of no away fans

Not so good if you didn't renew a season ticket and not get in. Presume the Ifollow option would still have to be around to allow away games to be seen

No reason why we couldn't have had crowds in all grounds since the restart but, hey ho, I don't make the rules.

Just as well.

You seriously think it would have had no impact whatsoever on people contracting the Coronavirus? 🙄

I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!

I suppose if grounds followed the same guidance for pubs and gyms then they could let home fans in on a pre book basis and staggered entry exit system for what's left of this season.

10,000 Fans would be 30% of our capacity give or take

But as it's a home crowd the constant grumbling moaning and booing would give every away team the advantage at Hillsborough

I'd be surprised if we have done 15k so far. If this is true though and we had 12 - 15k attendances next season with no away support, how would people feel? I'd go but the temptation to watch online would be tough to resist

Home record with no crowds, played 3, lost 2 and a last minute equaliser in the other one. Perhaps its more than the crowd factor at Hillsborough.
Perhaps Chansiri ought to get them elephants to piss in all the corners. Or is it Monks? (not double G)

Yet overall we aint been bad away, one or two exceptions. Scoring loads and winning.
But fuck me, 1 in 10 ??? Thats terrible. Might get UB40 to knock up a tune about it

Just looked it up. For every home goal scored, we have scored 2 away . 66% of goals scored were away.
What do we need to make it Fortress Hillsborough?

I seem to recall over the years we've had times when we can't seem to win at home on a consistent basis. It's been the key to being successful or at least competitive and in contention at the right end of the league. It was difficult at times in the League 1/ 3rd Division days, as it has been in the Championship/ 2nd Division.

Given our point haul away from home make you think it's either a mental attitude thing, tactics or the fans. I don't think it's the latter, whilst we have some noobs as fans we are nowhere near the worst from what I've seen following Wednesday away. So it must be the other two point or a combination. I think it's about the mental attitude thing, when we have had leaders that could dig in and motivate those around them we've done well. That's what we are missing at the moment.

This poor home form is a bit of a mystery. Before the lockdown I thought it was at least partly down to how much quieter we are at home, and the way the crowd can start turning on the team very quickly when it’s not going well. But it’s continuing since the restart with games being played in empty stadiums. Maybe it’s just down to the three home games post restart all being against pretty good opposition. QPR and Bristol City were both fairly shit. Maybe that’s the secret to winning at home. Play wank opposition.

Let's face it old football as we knew up to the PL being born is dead, so we either move with the times or stay in the backwaters of football Hm

Any Kop dwellers moving to the Lep need to factor into their expected new experience being pointed at and having faces pulled at them by their new neighbours at the end of the North.

Isn’t the North the stand with the highest proportion of season tickets?
If so, it’ll be that area that needs thinning out. So some of the pointers will have to move and they can spend their time pointing and pulling faces at their ex-neighbours.

My Under 15s will be looking forward to having a proper match at training next Friday.

To date we have done socially distanced drills in their bubbles of 5. Last night we tried socially distanced 5 a side - no contact and no tackling, interceptions only. Worked quite well as demonstrated by the Wednesday team last few weeks.

To be fair the lads have been really good in fact think they have all had a labotomy during lockdown.
