To use a cliche, it's been a perfect storm.

Spent all the player money in the last few seasons so no room for significant overhaul

An experienced coach resigns on the eve of the season (still think he would helped us defy the problems with shrewd man management, loan deals and signings)

EFL hearing threatening to override any good work the team might do and therefore hitting morale

Fans mood

You mention Reesh and MK falling out of love with Wednesday and I've seen on here a few more don't look like renewing season tickets. These are people along with you who think DC is the bees knees and will always back him. I suppose you think fans that will stick by the club have got misplaced loyalty? Managers, players and chairmen come and go but some of us are supporters for life, come what may. I'm probably one of DC's biggest critics and if we get a points deduction it will be him and nobody else to blame. (I sincerely hope we don't) Whatever the outcome, I'll be there next season. If the likes of Reesh and a few more decide to call it a day it will be nice not to get abused as often.

I haven't fallen out of love with Wednesday

Actually fed up of that support being taken for granted. That you can continually serve up rubbish and expect people to turn up unconditionally.

That is what football clubs exploit, that it is in your blood, you will rock up come what may.

So at the moment grown tired of that. You realise how ludicrous it is to travel 135 miles, spend a few quid to then be bored fucking stupid and be in a bad mood for the rest of the weekend.

Have you been genuinely enthused by any game this season at S6.

Happy clapping for 4 years more than Emre

I remember the 1968/69 season very well. I had to do a thesis for my degree. I chose "The financial structure and management of English football league clubs." I contacted 8
football league clubs and 7 of them invited me to examine how they were run. I was even
offered the Club Secretary job at
Aldershot. Only one club refused to cooperate. Sheffield Wednesday. Pity. I
wondered how we attracted players for record transfer fees during the maximum wage era. How could we afford the costs of developing the ground and so on. The published accounts revealed nothing. Anyone criticising DC for his financial activities can examine the paperwork. Back then it was totally different and no one
questioned it.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours.
