Think it was mentioned earlier on in the thread but what an absolute joke decision for the free kick for their 4th. At worst that was in indirect free kick for obstruction.

Aye, it defo wasn't a free kick. Opponents running directly into static defenders should be booked for being so fucking stupid and deliberately seeking to gain an advantage.

The free kick itself was clever. Wickham's legs mustn't have felt like cement at that moment. About his only major involvement during his time on the pitch.

Not sure anyone's mentioned the red card. Thoroughly deserved.

The red card moment was laughed off as a first yellow and taking one for the team by the fulham commentators, then they realised he got booked earlier

I don’t think we can take any positives from yesterday apart from Atdhe and Murphy’s performance in the second half.

We conceded 5 goals again. We conceded another embarrassing penalty (what was Iorfa thinking?!?!). Wildsmith conceded two goals he should have absolutely done better with. We got cut open at will and Lees, Börner and Iorfa got dominated by Mitrovic, Börner in particular was dreadful. Our midfield three got outworked, outrun, and outmuscled by a much more mobile and progressive midfield. Windass and Da Cruz were non existent. Wickham, not fit again, should not be anywhere near the club.

What disappoints me equally was that given how ineffectual Da Cruz and Windass were against Huddersfield, why not change one of them? And then equally, why leave Murphy out? Baffling from Monk again.

We have categorically got to win against Boro’. But do I think that Monk has the nouse to beat a Warnock team who is out of form? No.

You look back to the first season under CC, Nuhiu's contribution that season was fantastic, his hold up play allowing FF, Hooper, Joao to play off him was one of the reasons we were so good going forward, the bloke gets so much unwarranted shit from our fanbase.

Get him signed up, get him a nippy little fucker who can play off him.

I hope he's here next season.

He's not the best player we've ever seen, he's not the worst. But RIGHT NOW... He's an asset in a very threadbare squad.

77 Goals & assists in 276 appearances.

So better than 1 in 4 isn't bad

This.

Massive overhaul required at the club but I don’t think we have the manager capable of doing it or the chairman with the hunger anymore. We need this EFL bollocks out of the way and I hope DC finds the appetite again. He really should get someone in who knows what they’re doing though in terms of running the club and engaging with fans.

I get what you're saying but I'd rather have Nuhiu up front than Da Cruz, Windass, Murphy & the unfit Wickham.

If Rhodes isn't going to get any minutes, then the only person to turn to is Nuhiu, at least he signed on to help us, unlike some of the tossers we had at S6.

Over the course of their careers at Wednesday Nuhiu and Fletcher have the almost the same (pure) shots on target against total shots percentage, in the Championship, as each other. Fletcher 47% and Nuhiu 45%. Winnall (55%) and Joao (57%) both beat them. Forestieri 42% and Rhodes 35% for comparison

Howson (amongst others) say we need better. But he says we have to cut financial cloth accordingly yet we need better players.
How do we do that?
We do need plan A's that actually work (over 55% ST vs TS) but we also need plan B's, of which Howson admits Nuhiu is a good option (a good game changing option off the bench) otherwise you're just subbing like for like and there's no difference to the opposition defending strategy.

Howson just doesn't get what Nuhiu's role is. He's not supposed to be the prolific goal-scorer who'll fire us to promotion. I don't think we should even be looking at promotion for the next two seasons, unless we're relegated, but that's a different matter.

Where are we going to get the 'better players' that would take Nuhiu's wage, or less? Where would we even get as good a plan B for the same money or less, unless we took someone unproven from League 1 or a 34/35 year old, with a goal-scoring pedigree, looking to bench warm for one last payday.
