Wasn't good enough in German 2nd league. Wasn't good enough here hence played 16 times in 3 seasons. Only reason i see him staying if he's on low wages.

Watch him a lot in Germany 2nd league did you?

Looks like he starts off ok then goes down hill.
See what happens. Personally don't think he will have a future at club. But that's up to Gary Monk

Lots of factors not sure that says he wasn’t good enough .. but as your not an avid bundesleague 2 watcher it’s as good as source as any available to us all lol

Monk will weigh him up quickly in the preseason I am sure and I wouldn’t be surprised if he disappears .. but he’s got something and if the new system brings that out of him for our benefit fantastic

I hope Garry Monk doesn't have a future at the club.

Remember going to see us at Cardiff back in 17 and everyone was singing his name before, during and after the game.

Never recovered from the derby game, seemed to completely shoot his confidence. Needed Loovens next to him really.

I think he’s worth another go but not convinced he has a future here.

To me that cardiff game is where the decline started. We were above utd for about 20 mins before Cardiff equalised in the last minute.

Nuhiu coming on as sun and slicing a basic clearance out for a throw and then they scored from the next attack.

A week later....Sick

Agree that playing a back 3 should suit him. He can certainly pass the ball, but he needs to be physically stronger in this league than he has been.
I do seem to recall though that either stickvis or Ty said when we bought him that we'd signed the wrong Heerenveen defender.
Baresi, 30/07/2020 at 19:32

I think I said St Juste would be the better player. Went to Feyenoord at the same time we bought Van Aken and for the same money. Feyenoord sold him to Mainz for £9m in 2019

Not according to the search function, the only St Juste you've ever mentioned was in 2015 and winger for St Kitts.

The first sixteen games from Fox and Murphy were nowt to write home about...at the end everyone was clamouring for them to be signed up again for next season.

Didn't he have a horror show against Wigan first game of season a couple of seasons ago?
lbswfc87, 30/07/2020 at 18:55

One of the worst displays I've seen in an Owls shirt in recent times. He looked panicked and lost. So bad, even Jos recognised it and pulled him at half time I think. Mind you, that was also the game where Hutchinson played as a sort of right winger for a while - so it might all have been the terrible tactics of the Dutch mastermind.

I'd have kept Fox for the right wages but relatively ambivalent tbh. I suspect he'll have got better wages because he signed on a free for Stoke. So defo not clamouring.

Murphy I'd definitely have back, I must admit I was unimpressed first quarter of the season, particularly at how nesh he was in challenging for some balls, but by the time of the restart he was probably our best player and looked like someone that could make something happen. Unfortunately I can't see him coming back, he'll probably end up at a Championship club pushing top 6, eg Bristol or Florists.

It depends...players aren't just items that can be peddled to the highest bidder, they have preferences themselves. I believe Murphy was happy here so he may want to return whatever the situation.

Fox isn't now and never was good enough for any championship club with ambitions above survival.
