I ask you will Galway bate Mayo? Not if they have Willie Joe...they haven't a hope of beating Mayo!

When you think back v Aken was pretty much thrown in at the deep end when he signed for us. Which I suppose when you have splurged (reportedly) £5m you probably expect the player to play, as Reach did when he signed. However, tbf to the lad he didn't get any real time to adjust to the league and probably had his confidence undermined with Carlos leaving pretty soon after arriving and he team generally struggling.

So maybe clean slate, more time to adjust etc he will come good. He was decent up against an experienced striker on Saturday (if not the quickest) but he did ok when they made changes as well. Add to that his ability to pick a pass, that raking pass across the pitch was excellent, then he gives us someone that offer more than just clogging it which is pretty much what Lees and Iorfa (although can do those bursting runs).

So I'm hopeful we have someone that can improve and be a major part of the team. I'd imagine Dunkley will be expecting to start but at present it's hard to see who makes way.

Van Aken unfortunately is an accident waiting to happen. Having said that, i'd love to be proved wrong and hopefully I will be.

Unfortunately, so are Lees and (to a lesser extent) Iorfa.
All of them give us heart in mouth moments. We just have to hope that we wait longer than in the recent past for those accidents.

We cannot grumble about having a 4M pound player back in the ranks, who is left footed and can play in a back 3, oh and can complete long range passes for funHappy

Could be the signing of the season!

(This is on the basis of only seeing the Watford first half this seasonBigsmile
