Mansfield saying their not ready for playing this Saturday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/5389 0358

To be fair I wondered why some Efl cup games were being played this weekend.

IMO, the international break shouldn't stand unless you have five players out this year. Three players missing in Most championship squads wouldn't have that much of an impact, especially as most championship sides play weakened sides in the Carabao anyway.

Mansfield have followed the same 'back to playing' scenario as Every other league team. The only difference between them and Preston is they haven't played a league game.
But they continued training through the period the Championship.

So whats Coughlan been doing with them if they're not ready? They'd have probably been playing a friendly this weekend anyway, like most teams.
And if he says they're still 3 weeks away then they wouldn't have been ready for the original 5th Sept date either.

It must be like a disease when you join Mansfield. You turn into this whingeing, whining, wow is me, downtrodden piece of shit. Just like the area itself

The Uefa Super Cup could be attended by about 20,000 fans in Budapest as a trial, Europe's governing body has confirmed.

European champions Bayern Munich will face Europa League winners Sevilla at the 68,000-seater Puskas Arena on Thursday, 24 September.

Uefa said "up to 30% of the capacity of the stadium" would be allowed.

Fans could return to Scottish football as early as this weekend if approval is given at a meeting on Wednesday.

Celtic are hoping to get the green light to use Sunday's Scottish Premiership match against Motherwell at Celtic Park as a test event.

The proposal is for up to 1,000 Celtic fans to attend.

It will be discussed at a virtual meeting between Sports Minister Joe Fitzpatrick and the Scottish Professional Football League.

My first experience of a game with no fans at work happened last night.
I'll tell you something, it's odd. Very odd.

But... It mainly reared its head when there was a goal. Now I've seen games at work behind closed doors before, but knowing that this was a 'proper' friendly as such was so strange not having fans in and around the stadium.

I consider myself very lucky to be able to be at a game right now, and that won't change. But I really can't wait till fans are back. Even a percentage of supporters will make a massive difference.

Nothing short of a quite frankly ridiculous piss take.

1,000 fans in Celtic Park? Think it was around the same number allowed in Murrayfield for the Rugby last weekend.

Using that ratio, the majority of clubs will be playing in front of a couple of hundred max.

And this in a country which hasn't seen a Covid-19 related death for almost 2 months.

Fucking clueless.

All English Football League games will be available to watch from home while matches continue to be played behind closed doors or at limited capacity.

A "flexible framework" has been agreed with Sky Sports to allow all games not televised live to be streamed online.

The EFL says it is a "temporary measure" that will be "subject to regular review" from early October.

Relegated Watford will open the 2020-21 Championship campaign at home to Middlesbrough on Friday, 11 September.

Under the agreement season ticket holders will be able to stream their club's home matches, with match passes also available for a £10 fee.

Supporters of Championship clubs with season tickets will also be able to watch midweek away games.

All match access to season ticket holders is subject to the agreement of the relevant club.

"The overriding objective is to get supporters back into stadiums as soon as it is safe to do so," said EFL chief executive David Baldwin.

"Collectively, it's not our preferred situation but given the circumstances Covid-19 has presented us it gives us a temporary option whilst we finalise our plans for fans returning."

As of last week fans are allowed to attend football in the seventh tier and below football was originally suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic in March.

But for elite sport pilots are required before an intended expansion from 1 October.

Carabao Cup first-round ties not selected for live broadcast will also be available for streaming on a match pass basis.

Aye just a bit. Awful weather too, windy and rainy as hell but the football on show was very good at times.

Stevie May just scored winner for St. Johnstone vs. St. Mirren.

Could he...

Bigsmile

And Livi finally won to get off the bottom, albeit played more games.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.
