Prof: this is how I deal with being timed out when typing long posts. If you hit this site's back button, you'll lose everything you've typed. But if you hit the overall back button on your device, it puts you back where you were before you posted: with everything you've typed, just ready to post. And this time it won't time you out.
I'm aware I haven't named the two different 'buttons' technically correctly but hopefully you'll understand what I'm on about. It works for me every time. Hope this helps.

That does work. I found that out when I posted the second time. First time I hit the sites back button and it all was lost. Second time I copied the text but I inadvertently hit the laptops main back button and it was still there so I didn't have to paste the text in. Thanks for the info though.Thumbsup

Salute

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

Thanks, but I wouldn't know how to include a word document into a post. The Professor bit doesn't really ring true.Bigsmile

He means type your post on to word first then copy and paste to here if it's particularly long.

Thumbsup Yeah, I just wrote it into the reply box and copied it but like Owling says, if you hit the correct back button everything fine.

If you quote a post, then delete its text, you're left with a blank box to type in. However, you also have the added options of previewing your post-to-be and editing it thereafter.

I'm not aware of any maximum limits for the numbers of times you can preview and edit before eventually posting Smile

Sounds like some cracking games tonight and all the teams in the games I picked scored.

Heaton Stannington 2-3 West Auckland Town , Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played his first UK game here.

Baffins Milton Rovers 1-2 AFC Stoneham , wonder if I could go to their next game in the cup.

Balham 2-2 Hassocks , Balham score a very late dubious penalty but it doesn't do them any good as they're beaten 3-5 on pens.

Bottesford Town 2-1 Selston

Carlton Town 1-1 Loughborough University Carlton win 4-2 on pens.

Roman Glass St George 1-2 Flackwell Heath , long drive back to High Wycombe but it won't be so bad now they've won.

Sherborne Town 2-1 Street , had the Street players been at the applejack.

Stansfeld 3-3 Punjab United , Stansfeld win 4-3 on pens, long way home for the Punjabis.

Avro 1-2 Bootle , bin dippers nick the tie, no change there then.

St Helens Town v Cammell Laird 1907 tonight in the FA Cup qualifiers AKA the bin dipper derby, or near enough. Can't see St Helens losing this.

How many striker signings down the years have we made where the player was on their way up/ still developing and became an asset.

I'm struggling to think of many. The likes of FF, Rhodes, Fletcher, Winnall, Nuhui etc surely don't fit in that camp. The most recent one I can think of is Antonio. Then it's Hirst, but I'd listen to arguments about Flash and Williams.

Any others?
Tank_Owl, 31/08/2020 at 10:04

Maybe Drew Talbot, Bart man and Grant Holt?

Liverpool have temporarily suspended the sale of season tickets for the 2020-21 campaign due to uncertainty over rules around attendance.

The Premier League champions are set to play their first home game of the season against Leeds on 1 October.

The club expect games early in the campaign to be played in front of a reduced capacity as a result of coronavirus restrictions.

"Games will initially be sold on a match-by-match basis," the club said.

The club said it will review the situation "before the end of the year".

Reports in the Liverpool Echo state the Anfield club expect around 12,500 fans - around a quarter of capacity - to attend the home fixture with Sheffield United on 24 October.

Are they playing Leeds at home twice then?
