Great goal by Joao but the Reading keeper will want that 3rd goal back.

The Premier League and other elite sport can continue behind closed doors during a new four-week national lockdown in England.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced new restrictions for the country that will start on Thursday and run until 2 December to combat coronavirus and avoid the NHS being overwhelmed.

Hearts win the local derby in semi finals

An excellent result for Hearts.

The weather did its best to ruin the game and it was a bit scrappy. Both sides had their chances and scores were tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Extra time saw a tale of two penalties. Hibs hit the woodwork with theirs while Liam Boyce scored for Hearts, taking them to the pre Christmas final vs. either Celtic or Aberdeen.

Probably the most famous cup tie between Edinburgh's big two was the 2012 final. And at half time tonight, it was announced the Hearts captain that day, Marius Zaliukas, had passed away, age 36.

I realise to most people on here Zaliukas will be no more than a dirty Leeds bastard, although we should fondly remember his completely dreadful performance in the 6-0! However, he was a very good player in his Hearts days and 36 is no age at all.

RIP big man Salute

I remember him from that day, certainly.
RIP, fella. 36 is ridiculous.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.
