Good for him.

Where is he on the list of what he should pay in total, like everybody else less privileged does.

He does pay what he's due, he'll pay UK tax on his UK earnings, whether income, Capital Gains or anything else.

He doesn't live in the UK so won't pay tax on anything he earns outside

Not a hard concept is it?

He goes and lives somewhere else so that he doesn't pay it here.

So no, not a hard concept is it.

And if he wants to fuck off somewhere else, why should he get knighted here for it.

He does pay it here. What he earns in the uk he pays tax on to the uk government.

He'll do the same in France, Italy, Germany, America and so on.

Sir Cliff doesn't live in the uk,
Sir Sean Connery didn't live in the uk
I'd throw in Sir Philip Green but he's a bad example of anything to be fair

Sounds more like a chip on your shoulder than a principled stance.

I wish more electricians, window cleaners, car mechanics, hairdressers etc. paid their rightful amount of tax as well but that's probably ok in mist folks minds.

Sorry no chip, principled stance it is.

Funny how you mention the countries he would pay tax in, but wouldn't class them as home, he would have home in a tax haven Country.

The first internet search came up with...

"Since Hamilton made his first million with his legendary driving abilities he shipped off to the tax haven Monte Carlo, which he now counts as his home"

But just for clarification it is not just Hamilton, he is just the latest, each and every one of them you have mentioned and every other one with an honour, that goes to live somewhere else can all get fucked off.

They should receive no "honours" from a Country which is not their home.

Why?

It's estimated that the cost to the revenue of the Grey economy, cash in hand etc is 9-10 times that of all companies using legal tax mitigation.

If they up sticks to avoid paying their proper dues by going to a tax haven, yes.

But the vast majority don't of expats don't do that, do they?

Rhetorical question mark, you already knew that.

I’m just trying to work out all the double negatives with the two “don’t” and two “do” usage. 😁

As for living in Monaco, I’m sure there’s no other reasons to live there except because of tax.
