Seriously?...this is the guy who thought the average man in the street should not have been allowed to vote in the referendum. Only the ones who equalled or surpassed his intellect.

So the sad pathetic racist orange one is gone, not a moment too soon. Hopefully the creditors and legal cases catch up with him very quickly.

As for Biden, if you're a decent person, there isn't one word of his inaugural speech that you can disagree with. It's good to have an adult in charge.

Shame Biden is another creepy sex pest like his predecessor.

Government moving the goal posts on school return and normality by spring, also defecting blame from themselves to those having house parties. Useless spineless c**ts

A woman said he pinned her against a wall and sexually assaulted her, in 1993 I think. Around that time she claimed sexual harassment but was never proven, she didnt say anything until much later about the alleged assault. Turns out she then wrote very favourably about Putin in a blog so some say this discredits her.

Other women have complained about him invading their personal space, which he has acknowledged in that he's said summat along the lines of "boundaries have changed" and promised to be more respectful.

So I don't know if he's a sex pest, it's certainly less clear cut than Trump but there is definitely something about men in power thinking that they can treat women how they want to.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.

Correctives to the rule breaking "myths" being peddled by the Government. Thesis from the ONS, latest data suggests:

95% using face coverings
93% avoiding physical contact with others
65% only leaving home for work exercise or shopping ( highest level since May 2020)
Proportion of adults WFH highest since summer.

The vast majority of the population ARE complying, but we all knew that really, right? It's not Kevin's house party that's killing people (as stupid as Kevin is for organising it). The most optimistic thing about this data set, personally speaking is confirmation that the vast majority of people aren't selfish bastards, they are doing what they can. If we can stop the Karen's and Lawrence's banging on about their rights to shop without a a mask and to question them is against the law (it isn't - it's just that questioning them risks shop workers being drawn into angry conflicts they don't deserve to have to deal with) then that'll help more.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.

If we are going to blame anyone for Coronavirus then let's get to the nitty gritty. The Chinese manufactured it...not for any sane reason...and were responsible for it's release onto an unsuspecting world. Anyone who believes it was created in a "Wet Market" by live bats or whatever must still believe in the tooth fairy.

Every government in the world were caught short by it and every opposition in the world knew how to deal with it betterRolleyes
There were countries who were initially successful in containing it and then it got the better of them, and countries who were left floundering initially but who have now got on top of it. It's a worldwide humanitarian disaster and will probably be with us for years to come.

Of course governments have made poor decisions, ours included, but it still does not alter the fact that to catch covid 19 you have to come into contact with someone who's got it. Now with me being elderly and vulnerable medically, I've taken charge of my own life and avoided contact with anyone outside my tiny bubble...it's called self preservation. I've avoided going where the clinically brain dead wankers congregate for their parties, weddings, raves, football matches, foreign holidays, street parties, shopping trips, boozing etc. because it's these people who are the actual spreaders of the disease. A single carrier can infect dozens of others and they in turn dozens more. It's mainly young people who don't seem to be badly affected if they do get it...I wonder if it flits across their shallow minds that they just might be killing their parents or grandparents...perhaps not. In life everyone has to make their own decisions.

So, when this thing is over, what are the things you're desperate to do again or just do more of? Obviously most of us will say going to the pub, the thing I miss most about going to the pub wasn't big nights out, it was more just calling for a quiet pint when I want to clear my head, or with a couple of mates just for a natter, or maybe in summer sitting outside with a nice cold pint of Estrella at my local looking across at the horses in the fields, just myself and the missus, used to love doing that.

But apart from the pub...i've been thinking about this Smile

Get out to Malta to see my sister and dad before he dies (he's 97)
Travel a lot more with my wife, see more of the Far East
Eat out more, support our local restaurants.
See more of family, don't take it for granted that you can see them another time.
Catch up with the friends I haven't seen for ages.
Get more involved politically (that was always going to be in there Smile
Lose the lockdown weight, get back to my previous fitness and really enjoy the walks in the local area, lockdown has shown me walks and places nearby that I didnt even know existed.
Play football again - jesus I've missed playing.

Watching Wednesday...hmm I want to put it in there but like many others, I don't know how I feel about the club at the moment and I'm pretty sure that when fans go back in, as soon as we're losing things will get pretty toxic. Going to a match for me is 12 - 7:30 including travel, no drinking so at the moment it's not in there. But that could also be the way I feel about watching football in general, coming through.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.
