I got the NHS text this morning summoning me for the Covid jab. Must admit this was a little earlier than anticipated, I wasn't expecting it until March at least.

So, when this thing is over, what are the things you're desperate to do again or just do more of? Obviously most of us will say going to the pub, the thing I miss most about going to the pub wasn't big nights out, it was more just calling for a quiet pint when I want to clear my head, or with a couple of mates just for a natter, or maybe in summer sitting outside with a nice cold pint of Estrella at my local looking across at the horses in the fields, just myself and the missus, used to love doing that.

But apart from the pub...i've been thinking about this Smile

Get out to Malta to see my sister and dad before he dies (he's 97)
Travel a lot more with my wife, see more of the Far East
Eat out more, support our local restaurants.
See more of family, don't take it for granted that you can see them another time.
Catch up with the friends I haven't seen for ages.
Get more involved politically (that was always going to be in there Smile
Lose the lockdown weight, get back to my previous fitness and really enjoy the walks in the local area, lockdown has shown me walks and places nearby that I didnt even know existed.
Play football again - jesus I've missed playing.

Watching Wednesday...hmm I want to put it in there but like many others, I don't know how I feel about the club at the moment and I'm pretty sure that when fans go back in, as soon as we're losing things will get pretty toxic. Going to a match for me is 12 - 7:30 including travel, no drinking so at the moment it's not in there. But that could also be the way I feel about watching football in general, coming through.

Go to Malta
Visit Hong Kong
See the Ashes in Australia
Avoid politics
See if I can rekindle my love of football.

Look at Dr Peter Dazak, one of the key people in the development & experimentation of these viruses in the Wuhan Lab and laughably appointed by WHO to investigate it... Conflict of Interest?

Whatever your opinion of Donald Trump he was the one who exposed the WHO for what it was, its failings and being influenced heavily by China who were paying in a nominal amount each year to fund WHO on developing nation's rates. China! Developing nation my arse. Might as well say Colin is an Owl.

Fuck 'em. This city will always be ours, but the club SADLY won't.

Just had my Covid vaccine, already seeing the benefits after just one hour. Mobile phone strength up to a full 5 bars now, usually it's only 2 bars, what's not to like about that.
Will monitor the signal strength and keep you all informed.

Funnily enough I've just had mine today, and I had to queue outside the medical centre for about 15 mins before being taken in. I looked at my fellow pin cushions and saw a whole bunch of old people...most of the woman overweight with mobility problems and most of the men bald with pot bellies and the thought occurred to me...when I was twenty I could have been at a disco with this lot, all the lasses in their micro skirts and the lads in their flowery shirts and tight trousers. Fuck me growing old isn't for wimps.Shock

I wouldn't mind just going to Scarborough for a weekend.
Do a bit of the coastal walk to Staithes, few beers, bus back then watch the sea from the balcony at The Sands

I had to wait around 10 mins outside, then into a holding room with around 50 people sat on spaced out chairs, then fed through in groups of 8 into individual rooms for the jab, then told to sit in a waiting room for 15 mins after then you just get up and go home when your time is up. They did give me an information sheet after the jab telling me to inform the jabber of certain things if they applied to me, but by then it was too late anyway.
What vaccine did you have? I had the Pfizer one.
Took around 1 hour and 10 mins, mainly due to the needles bending when they tried to push them in.
