I was fine, arm ached a little but that was it. One of our friends had it, got a temperature so her work insisted she took a Covid test Smile
It came back negative.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.

Well we have really turned into Big Brother havent we. Its now going to be illegal to go on a foreign holiday with a £5k fine of you do! FFS there are ways and means of doing things without totally fucking up a whole industry. No-one was going on holiday anyway Boris you twat, there are no fucking flights to Zante or Valletta!

This government has fucked up everything to do with Covid and all they do is punish us for doing so. This proletarian state has got to stop. Its getting out of hand. Its no time to ban holidays and give police extra powers. There's going to be more rioting like Bristol.

I am not any particular party follower. But this government has handled all of this particularly badly and we are suffering because of their ineptitude from that scruffy c**t Johnson saying he's still shaking hands with everyone to this latest Patel order of giving the police more powers. It all fucking stinks of big brother and needs stopping.

Covid is here to stay. We HAVE to learn to live with it and manage it. FFS we don't close a country down cos some poor fucker had flu. Start managing in properly you scruffy fat bastard of a leader.

Well said mate. While your scenes in Bristol were abhorrent there only so much the UK population will take.

From ‘we need to create herd immunity’ yo the shambles approach we have now is insane. Both wrong. In fact the only thing they’ve got right is gambling on Vaccines

If everyone could catch the disease, then I think the government should be applauded for saving the lives of up to 70m British people.

The £5k 'holiday' fine will be reviewed on May 17th and has only been put in place as the current stay at home rules end on Monday. The idea is to stop idiots disappearing to Europe for Easter and bringing back whatever variant is causing the lockdown over there.

Personally, I'm all for it. I've got a 78 year old parent currently in hospital and not looking to come out anytime soon.
If it means some Brits have to miss out on sun and sangria in May so that some one else doesn't go through what my family have then so be it.
If Benidorm means that much to them then they can book for August.

As for living with it. I currently am but when the rest of Europe pulls its finger out and starts using the vaccines it's got stockpiled then I'm all for foreign holidays with a vaccine passport.
We do have to live with it so getting that little extra bit of paper in your passport is a good start

Sorry to hear of your issues Ty. Not quite sure how a vaccine passport helps though considering it doesn't necessarily prevent infection

Someone I know in the NHS, they have been told to prepare for a lockdown somewhere round end June beginning July.
I'm not sure if the population would comply another time.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.

Fuck that, i won't be. Done enough and it's cost me both financially and impacted my physical & mental health. Granted, others will be in worse positions but i'm at the end of the road with it all

Seriously though, likely to be nonsense, on what basis can they predict a lockdown for then when the vaccine rollout will be nearing completion?

Why would the NHS be given a heads up of a lockdown?

It's like when you hear that they're delivering 500 bodybags to Meadowhall because they think there's going to be a terrorist attack.

If that was correct, the only reason I could imagine is knowing of expected variations that could negate the existing vaccines. Yes, they can tweak the vaccines quite 'simply' but, as we know, it then takes a long time to vaccinate most of the population again from scratch.
Perhaps it's actually a reset, a preparation for the NHS - to be ready for whatever the future brings - and that's a target date because it's likely to take until then?

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

Dunno, they may be speculating, but it definitely was briefed. Same source knew 2 weeks before the public what the tier system was going to be and the broad criteria and dates. I guess to put these things together they have to talk to people. Frankly, I hope that it's bollocks.

Of course there are cracks, that's how the light gets in.
