That should be the defence pairing. I can’t name one other defender I particularly want at the club. I’m actually struggling to name many more players I want at the club right now. Harris as a squad player but I genuinely would not give a toss if we replaced the rest. The attitude within that squad is dire. Now we get Pelupessy liking photos on social media of Joao celebrating scoring against us. Where the fuck has any desire and will to win for the club gone. We have a fucking shambolic squad with a pathetic work ethic and desire and I cannot wait until Moore rips the squad up and starts again.

Exactly. They all need to give their heads a wobble. Play for the badge, they could not give a fuck.

Injury updates

Andre Green and Joost van Aken will ramp up their return to fitness this week.

The Owls duo are out of the treatment room, with Green now training with the squad, while van Aken is making encouraging progress with his rehabilitation programme.

Experienced defender Chey Dunkley was a notable absentee during Sunday’s clash between the Owls and Norwich.

Missing from the matchday squad entirely, manager Darren Moore revealed Dunkley had picked up a hamstring injury ahead of the game.

“Chey picked up an injury in training during the week,” he said. “He has a slight hamstring problem which we are assessing at the moment.

“Andre Green is back in training, he is working and it’s great to have him back.

“We will look at Joost also this week. He is back on the grass and with those bodies returning it is great for us because we will need them for the run-in.

“I will have a better idea on Massimo Luongo in the coming days.”

Despite the defeat against the league leaders, the manager remained positive after an improved performance and has underlined the importance of maintaining those levels for the rest of the season.

As attention turns to Huddersfield at home on Wednesday night, Moore continued:

“I've said to the boys they have got to show that spirit and endeavour; they can’t come off of that now.

“I’ve seen another improved performance. It will be the smaller details that I pick out of the game in terms of moving forward.

“We can’t go back on that level of performance now, we have to keep building on it. Short term we need a win.

“On the back of that I feel like we can build some momentum. The games are still there and we keep working. We get the opportunity on Wednesday to try and close that gap.”
