Moore on Wednesday's squad

Everyone has got their part to play.

We have got an experienced group. It is about bringing them together and getting that right cohesion. They are there together with a group.

Moore on tweaking things

It takes work to turn things around. It takes consistent quality work and that's what we need to get that consistent level of work done.

We have worked on one or two aspects this week. It is about me understanding the quality of the group and looking at certain individuals and the way they play.

DM on Jordan Rhodes

I’ve worked with him before and I know what he can do. He has wonderful composure in terms of goals and so on.

I’m really pleased with him, and the whole group. They have to keep raising that level of commitment.

At the moment all the players have a role to play. Even though contracts are up, despite what may come. They’re all contracted.

I’m going to stick with the facts. He’s our player and he’s a good player. He’s got a huge part to play.

DM on Dele-Bashiru and van Aken

Fisayo will be back hopefully next week. Joost is out there running. There’s a little bit of light coming from the treatment room.

DM on Moses Odubajo's

He’s still in the treatment room and is making good progress but he’s still receiving treatment. He’s still a while off yet, you can’t rush those hamstring injuries.

Moore on goalkeeping situation

The slate is wiped clean for everyone.

Westy has been injured but is back on the grass and training with us. The days are becoming shorter where he will be competing for his position.

He has got a wonderful amount of experience.

Joe is in there and doing very well.

Moore on Jimmy Shan

No, not at this moment.

We are happy with the staff that we have got here.

The focus and intention is here.

I know Jimmy really, really well. He's a very good coach. At this moment in time, we feel that we have got more than enough adequate time to work with the team and the staff until the end of the season.

I am happy with what we have got here.

DM on Norwich's quality

We look forward to the game. It will be a good game of football.

I am looking forward to seeing Daniel. He's someone I have got a lot of respect and time for.

Moore on out of contract players

The players have been absolutely superb since I have come into the football club.

They have been really, really good.

We need to park that (contractual stuff) - it will come when it needs and take care of itself. There has not been much talk about that. It is about showing that level of performance needed.

What has gone on has gone on before. The slate has been wiped clean. My focus is clear on the immediate focus which is on the games and they are coming thick and fast.

Moore on style of play

I have got a style and system but also at the same in the situation we are in it has got to be horses for courses.

We have to be ready to compete against some of the teams coming out way.

We have got to be open to change as and when we see fit. That's the way this will ebb and flow to the end of the season.

Moore on Daniel Farke

Daniel has done a great job there. They have certainly had consistency. A large part of their success has been consistency this season. That group of players has probably been together for three years now. There is consistency right the way through the group.

They understand what is required to get out of this league.

We are building to get to those level of performances. I want to get us moving forward quickly on a consistent basis.

Moore on Norwich

No game is a free hit.

It's the next fixture. They are a good team. This division is littered with good teams.

But I feel if we can get that group cohesion and consistency going; we feel that we have got a good team here. We have to continue to make up those small yards in all departments and then I think we can get back on track.

Moore on players confidence

The players have to remember they are good players and highly elite footballers.

There is still a lot to play for and we look no further than the game at the weekend.

We know it will be tough and we will play against one of the most in-form teams in the league.

We look forward to the challenge that it presents itself.

It takes clear focus and mindset and that constant reminder to the group of they have proven they are big players.

Moore on improving thing

You don't get a quick fix overnight.

We try and dripfeed information to the group without giving too much and making things complicated. It takes time to implement your ideas.

This is an intelligent enough squad and they have got the ability. It is about applying it and getting that consistency. I look for performance and the consistency of the performance. That has to be the biggest thing I drive with this group.

Moore on training this week

It has been good for me to work with the players and put on sessions to ask questions of where we are at. There has been lots to work on.

Moore on Liam Shaw

It is something that was out of my control and remit.

Liam is 100 per cent with this football club and still has a part to play in this team for the remainder of the season. It is about the here and now. We have seen the committment he has shown in the games he has played.

He's a fan of the club. His family has got huge respect and loyalty to the football club and he is no different.

Every time he pulls on a Wednesday shirt he is committed to the cause. He is a top, talented young player. He will continue to work and give his all for the football club.

Moore on Chey Dunkley

They have all a chance of playing this season and Chey is no different.

He has had a stop-start season since coming back from injury. We have tried to get more volume of training into him.

He's one of the individuals that could potentially replace Julian Borner at the weekend.

Moore on injuries

Luongo is not quite in training yet. Green and Westwood are back on the grass. It is pleasing to have them back and we will assess them each day. I don't envisage them being ready for the weekend. We have got to make sure they are right for the rest of the season.

Hutchinson on Darren Moore

He has been really good. He has been a breath of fresh air. He's really positive and wants to do the right things.

SH on Moore's style of play

It's more of getting his philosophy across to the group.

We need results. The gaffer believes if we get the performances then the results will come.

No disrespect to Doncaster but Sheffield Wednesday is a massive club and always going to be a bigger club.

It's going to be a hard job for him.

We have put ourselves in this position. He's just trying to do his best and we have got to go out there and do our best.

Hutchinson on the relegation scrap

It's everyone's responsibility at the club.

It's not just the players that has caused this mess that we are in. We are in a position that we should not be in.

We need to be together and try and get out of this mess.

Hutchinson on Moore's two games

We are trying to play in a different way.

Rotherham countered on the break and we didn't commit a professional foul and then we had Jules sent off against Reading. It's hard when you go down to 10 men against a good team.

Hutchinson on his future

It's not about me coming back. It's about Sheffield Wednesday staying up.

The body feels good.

I had options before coming here. It's the club's decision. I don't think it's the right time to talk about. We need to concentrate on trying to get as many points on the table as possible.

I will try and do a job wherever I play and give some passion for the shirt. I will try and do the best that I can to get the squad going.

Hutchinson on survival

Everyone knows how big a club it is. You would be stupid not to.

Everyone knows what is at stake for the community, the fans and the club.

We need to start standing up now.

Hutchinson on Norwich

No one expects us to win. We need to have a right go.

It is so easy to be negative. We live in a world now where negativity is bred through everyone but we need to be positive that we can get out of this.

They have got great players but we need to concentrate on ourselves.

Hutchinson on a difficult season

It has been a difficult season. A lot of experienced players left last summer like Fletch. We lost a lot of creative players.

Hutchinson on his year

I went to Cyrpus and had a massive down but it has changed me as a person for the better again.

I take every day as it comes.

We had Thommo as the interim boss and he's very positive as a character. It's always needed.

You have ups and downs in the dressing room.

It is a difficult situation with no fans. The bigger clubs need the fans. The players react off it.

SH on the prospect of relegation

If we do get relegated, it will be a massive task to get back up.

SH on Norwich's style of play

They have got a style of play and are doing really well at the moment.

The manager has got a philosophy that has worked and they are up their again.

SH on Pukki and Lucas Joao

He scores goals and has got that confidence.

He's one of the best strikers in the Championship.

For me, Lucas Joao is the best in the Championship.

SH on Chris Wilder potentially leaving Sheffield United

I have met Chris Wilder a lot and I can't speak highly enough of him. He has done fantastic.

As a man, he has been fantastic for football and Sheffield United.

Praise for Darren Moore

He really wants to do his stuff properly.

He has probably been the most professional manager that I have had. I played my best football under Carlos but I think the club have the manager for a future. Darren is a very good manager.

SH on his time in Cyrprus

It has just completely changed me as a person. I don't have any anger anymore. You just have more perspective.

I am enjoying it. I know we are in a bad situation but I am enjoying being part of the squad and fighting for something. The boys do care. We are in a pandemic and we are in a bad situation but we are still doing what we love.

Hutchinson on characters

There are characters in the dressing room. It needs everyone. It needs everyone singing from the same hymn-sheet.

SH on Liam Shaw

You do what you have got to do in football.

He has done really well but I am just concentrating on trying to keep the club up.

Hutchinson on bingo

Everyone has an opinion on the planet.

I don't worry about it.

SH on the club's recruitment

Can you replace those players without spending fortunes? Joao was young when he came in, Fletch was injured, Nando was at Watford. Can they be replaced? I don't know. I don't think you can replace that type of player without spending fortunes.

We have been unlucky. We have missed players like Dominic Iorfa with injuries this season.

SH on Darren Moore's impact

You want to play for him. He's really positive and his staff are very good.

I think the club have made the right appointment for the future of this club. He is very professional.

SH on the challenge

It's a difficult situation when you are playing so many games. We have worked really hard this week and hopefully can we pick up a result on Sunday.

You can't get too high or too low in football or you go into depression in life. You just take it as it is.

No one expects Sheffield Wednesday to be in this position but we are and it is somethin we have to do something about.

SH on Shaw's progression

He hasn’t surprised me. He’s a big old lump and he’s got potential. He’s done the best thing for his career and good luck to him.

SH on staying up

As long as its mathematically impossible, we’ll believe.

Will we see the same old insipid, hiding shite again?

I think we will....

Too much to ask that these wasters will put a shift in...

I don't expect us to beat the top of the league by any stretch...but I'd like to see the players busting a gut trying...

I've got a sneaky feeling it's going to be a good weekend for us.
A win against the formbook, those above losing and the fat lady being sent back to the side of the stage.
No logic behind this. Just a gut feeling!

I fully expect us to start ok, go 1 down, get a man sent off and the lose 4 or 5-0. Norwich are better in every single footballing department there is. They are bang in form. I think we will take a proper hiding.

I fully expect Norwich to dive all over the place screaming. Again.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

I'm not feeling even that positive. As an MPB said, I fully expect another insipid performance from a bunch of lightweights

Its now or never

Well, today is going to be odd. I'll have to bear another afternoon sat in the house listening to the missis instead of her buggering off when the game is on.
