The two finishes have been top drawer. But, from the 46th minute we have shit our pants, especially in possession. We haven’t gone forward, it’s been the defenders who have had to pass the ball forward. The cycle has been, get the ball back, give it to Lees, Osaze and Hutch who then have to get rid quick, or play someone in trouble.

But what has been really telling is how horribly unfit we look. We haven’t got the legs to get up the pitch, and as the game has worn on, we haven’t had the legs to stay with runners. Today hasn’t been a lack of effort, but a good side and our own weaknesses being horribly exposed. Lack quality, craft and guile and a dreadful lack of athleticism and pace.

I suppose we'll get the same post match shite. "There were encouraging signs" !
TommyCraig6, 14/03/2021 at 13:59

But there actually were encouraging signs.

We are struggling and we are playing the best team in the league, what were you expecting, 4 -0 home win?

We are so predictable. Must be easiest team to play against.

Looks like Paterson was putting his aftershave on when he was coming on the pitch

I actually think that’s harsh, and from the game I’m watching, doesn’t reflect the first half

Why do we let teams run the clock down so easily giving them stupid free kicks

Strange how some managers can turn it round at half time!

That's easier when you've got the players.

We must not give opposition teams hope. We have to kill them.

Beaten by a fitter, smarter, better team who are top of the league.
We lack fitness and cannot pass out from the back.
But, I see a few green shoots to offer optimism and I think DM will have a big change in playing staff in the summer.

What I’ve noticed today and all season, whenever we turn over possession, instead of positioning our body and looking forward, our instinct is to turn towards our own goal and play the ball back. We never look to spring forward and catch a team.

Inevitable inevitability there.

The key issue having watched that is our complete lack of fitness and conditioning compared to other clubs. I think that is a true damning indictment of this squad and the coaching thereof.

We have a decent 45 minutes in us, we are competitive, we can match teams, we can be threatening.

But they do not have the legs to sustain it, our midfield to get round the pitch to the same level as other teams.

That has to be addressed in our future recruitment

Happy clapping for 4 years more than Emre
