Wednesday Capture Scottish Striker

The Owls have today confirmed the signing of Callum Paterson from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.

Paterson, 25, joins Wednesday from The Bluebirds after having the boost of an international call up from Scotland ahead of their three games against Israel, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Callum started his career at Hearts making over 150 appearances for the Jam Tarts before moving South of the border joining the Welsh club ahead of their promotion to the Premier League. He made over a century of appearances for Cardiff scoring 21 goals.

Callum was originally a defender with an eye for an attacking foray into opposing territory, which led to him moving from his original position and eventually all the way to spearheading the attack for the Cardiff before making his move to Hillsborough and he comes to Wednesday as an attacking option for Garry Monk.
