Quartet Sign Loan Extensions

Wednesday have this afternoon just confirmed that the loan deals with Alessio Da Cruz, Josh Windass, Jacob Murphy and Connor Wickham have all been extended until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Their respective loan deals were originally until the end of June which allowed three of the four to feature up until last weekend's win over Bristol City, with only Windass being unavailable due to an injury. However, with West Brom on the fixture list next for the Owls on Wednesday night at Hillsborough it's a shot in the arm for Garry Monk who can plan for the remainder of the season with a little more certainty now he knows that he has the loanees available subject to fitness.

Of course though we have as things stand seen the last of Fernando Forestieri, Steven Fletcher and Morgan Fox whose deals with the Owls end today. Monk said following the game against the Robins that he hoped Fox would reconsider his decision on refusing the extended deal which has apparently been put on the table to him.

Leeds amongst others have been mooted as a potential destination for Forestieri who appears to be definitely leaving, with a recent Instagram post showing him with his son cleaning an empty bedroom at what appears to be his house this morning.

Come give us your thoughts on the extension of the loan deals for the four players, on the forum which you can find by clicking HERE
