Midfielder Wings His Way To S6

Hot on the heels of the loan signing of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Wednesday have captured the loan signing of Middlesbrough’s attacking midfielder, Lewis Wing.

Lewis, 26, was a familiar face to the Owls last season as he was on loan at our local neighbours, Rotherham United, where he played 20 times and scored twice. The latter goal coming on the final game of the season where his sweet struck volley gave the Miller’s hope for staying in the Championship but ultimately it wasn’t to be.

He came through the ranks at Boro’s academy after joining the club from Shildon, then continued his rise into the first team at the Riverside as well as having a loan spell with Yeovil Town.

Lewis has pulled on the shirt of his parent club almost 100 times so far, so comes with a decent amount of experience and is looking forward to pushing the Owls towards promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Welcome to the Owls, Lewis.
