Bit late......intact very late.....but.....

ENGLAND WIN!!!

England beat Australia in the 3rd Ashes Test at Headingley by 3 wickets, a superb knock of 75 by Brook & vital contributions by Crawley 44 & Woakes 32no led England to victory.

The 4th Ashes Test begins on Wednesday 19th July at Old Trafford.

What will be intresting is, if Jimmy Anderson gets a recall at his home ground or if England will go with the same attack that helped England skittle Australia out in the 1st innings for 263 & the 2nd innings for 224.

Ollie Robinson will make way for Jimmy

What do we think the plan is then given Saturday and Sunday look like they could be a write off?

Personally think they'll carry on as we have done today & then come out tomorrow morning & put our foot down a bit & give our bowlers Friday afternoon at them.....

Hopefully the weather will improve for the weekend but do worry the weather will help the Aussies out here....

WOW, this ball at times just isn't bouncing like it should.

Crawley bowled as the ball stayed low & the same has just happened to Root who goes for a cracking knock of 84.

Ben Stokes joins Brook in the middle.

England 351/4 & lead by 34.

The uneven bounce over the next 3 days will & should help England out.

What a cracking day for England, totally dominated the Aussies from minute 1.

England 1st innings 384/4

Thanks to a wonderful innings by Zak Crawley who made 189 before being defeated by the bounce & bowled by Green, he deserved his double century today, he was superbly backed up by Joe Root (84) who was also defeated by the bounce late in the day & was bowled by Hazeldine.

Brook 14* & Stokes 24* guided England through to the end of day.

I can see these two putting there foot down in the morning & hopefully putting some runs on before the good old English weather comes in.

England lead Australia by 67 runs with 6 wickets left.

England hit 500! 👏👏

England 506/8

Wood goes for 6 - bowled by Hazelwood who has been their best bowler this 1st innings.

England have hit 122 runs in this morning's session & now lead Australia by 189 runs with 2 wickets remaining.

I can see Stokes telling Bairstow to go & hit it as much as he can, get the lead upto & pass 200 & then have a go at the Aussies.....
