owl4ever1867
Tea on Day 2. Australia 185/7 Excellent day so far for England who have worked hard & perhaps deserve to have bowled Australia out by now if only those balls that go past the edge get a nick through to the keeper, England have bowled superbly today so far. owl4ever1867
Lunch on day 3 : another fantastic morning for England batters, the only casualty of the morning was Duckett who was out for 42, since then Crawley (71*) & Stokes (12*) have put on a 50 partnership & moved England onto 130/1 from 25 overs. owl4ever1867
Stokes (42) has just holed out to Cummins off the bowling of Murphy - that was a silly silly shot to play imo. England 213/3 - lead by 201 runs. Brook joins Root (50*) at the crease.
owl4ever1867
What a ball by Hazlewood, he's got Brook (7) caught behind by Carey. England on the back foot here a bit losing 2 wickets for just 9 runs. Bairstow walks out to the middle to join Root - need these 2 to calm things down a bit & put on a decent partnership. England 222/4 - 41 overs. Lead by 210 runs.

owl4ever1867
Stuart Broad has announced he will retire from cricket after the 5th Ashes test against Australia. One of Englands greatest test bowlers, he will be massively missed & even harder to replace. Let's hope England can go out on a high & beat Australia in his last ever game. Thank you for the memories Broady.
owl4ever1867
Lovely touch by Australia to give Stuart Broad a guard of honour before the start of play. England 395 all out. Anderson the last man out - LBW to Murphy who finished with 4/110. Australia require 383 runs to win the 5th & final ashes test to win the series 3-1 or can England bowl the Aussies out & tie the series 2-2..... owl4ever1867
Just seen the Stokes drop, he's caught it, goes to celebrate but hits his knee & the ball pops out - the right decision for me but dropping a guy of Smith's quality on 39 will always hurt you.
