Is that the Newcastle we beat 2-1 last season with L1 players.

Yeah I know they didn’t have the same quality on show but still we beat em.

Two Sheffield promotions last season and two clubs /teams looking like dead certs for relegation and we aren’t even out of September.

The parallel 'achievements' go back a little longer...

2023/24 - both sitting bottom of their respective leagues.

2022/23 - both promoted.

2021/22 - both lost in play-off semi finals.

2020/21 - both relegated.

Interesting (or perhaps not) that their 8-0 defeat to Newcastle was almost 24 years to the day since our one. A Sunday afternoon, albeit one week of a difference.

If you wanted to believe that corruption was rife and a few were in the pay of some Far East betting syndicates then there was some compelling, if not definitive, evidence.

The red card for Jones was one of those i thought where the foot deflects off the ball, but again the replays shown on field did not appear to include the one Sky showed in the game

What I can't grasp is that every goal is microanalysed to death to find ways to disallow it, but this was judged solely by the on field officials. Strange

Interesting result in a friendly that’s just finished.  Georgia beat Thailand 8-0 in a friendly, their all time biggest victory.  This is five weeks after they had their all time biggest defeat, losing 7-1 at home to Spain in a Euro qualifier.  Obviously a big difference in the standard of opposition.  That must be some kind of a record, a team that’s been playing competitive football for a while having their record win and record defeat so close together?

The power Sky holds.

Citeh v Victims due to be 5.30pm on 25th November will now ko at 12.30 as police won't allow the game to start so late in the day following previous trouble.  Still to be shown on Sky

Meanwhile, Brentford v Arsenal which was the 12.30 game on TNT will now move to 5.30 to accommodate. Still on TNT

So not much power then?

Yep I was presuming the power was with the plod here.

It's like the fucktards whenever there is a 2pm game on a Sunday that isn't on Sky. Or indeed every 3pm game on a Saturday.

"Why aren't Sky showing it"

Well because it's the EPL that sell the rights and Sky / TNT acquire packages of games offered for sale and these aren't

You can explain it a dozen times and they still lick the windows
