It's April Fools Day again.

Thierry Henry being mentioned for the Wales job just because he did his badges there and is good mates with Osian Roberts

He was doing a pretty good job in Montreal in the MLS, managing them, before he got homesick

He's got the French u21s and their Olympic squad and is being touted as the next national manager after Deschamps leaves.

He's not going to hang his reputation on our job, especially when all we can pay is ten bob and a go on Sharon from Swansea after she's finished her kebab.

Craig Bellamy, on the other hand...

Scott Parker set for Burnley job

Interesting choice considering he did jack all at Bruges in his last job. Also has a habit of blaming the owners when things go tits up.

FA needs to move quickly.

Rumours in Germany that Klopp will be offered the US national job

That's probably just because Tim Howard was saying on TV they he thinks he can talk him into taking it.

Do you think he would take the England job, Ty?

The Germans are trying to keep Naglesmann by hoping Klopp takes on a Beckenbaueresque ambassadorial role

Cheap option but I'm happy with it. He wasn't ready when Giggs beat him to the role previously but he's become a well thought of progressive coach.

He was turned down for the Burnley role and I don't think he'd have made a good day to day manager but international management should suit him better.

I'm not expecting miracles as he's got to balance a young squad with older players leaving but if the Welsh fans buy into forward progression and not results then he should be ok. Personally I'd bin the World Cup off and look for next Euros qualification.

There is talent coming through and if he gets it right Wales could follow the Georgia route of team over star players.

And it least it's not Page.

His decision. Reckons he can't take the team any further and has been open and honest about his stress levels going through the roof and needing to turn the dial down.

Mike Marsh takes the interim role with the rapist becoming his assistant.

Alex Neil and Paul Heckingbottom are the early favourites

Assistant Manager Mike Marsh is interim manager.  Is that the guy who ambled around on the wing for a bit for us in League One under Megson?

No that's Mike Jones, Mike Marsh was ex Liverpool and Norwich midfielder

Heckingbottom confirmed at PNE

Listening to Ridsdale on TalkSport now and it sounds like Hecky got the job because he was available.

They had a short list and weren't planning on appointing until the International break but Marsh packing it in on Saturday afternoon meant they had to go with someone who could walk in now.

Thierry Henry walks out of the French national set up after throwing his teddy out the cot over his 'pathway'. He found out his golden boy status was starting to slip due to training ground 'frustrations' and that Deschamps was being asked to stay beyond 2026.

Preston should have waited

Waited for what? Not Henry.

They'd have more chance of getting Henri Lansbury though.

I was being sarcastic mate.

Ridsdale was saying they'd had over 20 overseas applications

Possibly as managers based here know enough to stay clear. A Preston supporting mate could not be more negative about their prospects this season, he hated Lowe, hates Ridsdale and has been convinced that they’re going down for months.

I'd imagine Hecky is used to managing with one arm tied behind his back. Then two last season.
