I’ve noticed people now jumping on Vaulks’ interview with Rob Staton as a sign that it’s all gone to hell again and we’re not signing someone/anyone

You're obviously following the wrong people

Just listened to that whole Vaulks interview and the bit when he talks about us, and leaving. I feel like it’s more about his role going forward than a case of club ambition, and as other have said. If he’s offered 3 years there and 1+1 for us, that’s not being greedy, that’s being sensible, especially at this stage of his career.

Exactly this. He's got 3 years of work at Oxford whereas with us he could have played 10 games next season and been out on his arse another year older and with less stock than he's carrying now

Makes too much sense for your average stalker to comprehend unfortunately

Brentford have a very congested midfield where Peart-Harris plays, including 3 younger players that broke through while he was at Portsmouth. He's in the last season of his current contract and at the moment Brentford aren't looking to extend.

He's classed as an attacking midfielder but if we set up similarly to last season then we already have Musaba, Windass, Paterson, Gassama who could all play that role. Portsmouth also played him as left mid, defensive mid and as a straight up 10.

He's certainly physically strong and he's a bit FDB in how he plays. He'll offer something different to what we've got and if Danny can get a tune out of him then there's a player in there, albeit a little rough around the edges at times.

He's not a Vaulks replacement though.

He might have come on a fair bit from his FGR season but at that point he looked a good player albeit not the most energetic and intense, more Mcgugan paced. Didn’t think Rohl would like that. Having said that sometimes the eye can deceive and perhaps the data is different to the perception I had.

Seen on social media this morning (Sheffield Wednesday transfers) that Windass has rejected our contract offer and is set to leave on a free, with Hull and Coventry reportedly interested.

Don’t know how reliable the ‘source’ is though.

Isn't his future Wife American and currently pregnant ?  May want to move to where she is from.

Probably prefer to have her parents look after the baby than Grandad Dean.

I did mention on here a couple of weeks ago that Windass was likely to go elsewhere. Looks like my itk friend could be correct.

One of highest earners at club so maybe it will help in bringing other players in.

The deal to stay was close but things change in football.

"So Windass is on his way now after rejecting a contract.  Are we allowed to lay any blame to Chansiri now without getting blame from the apologists? #swfc"

An actual tweet on X.  They walk among us.

And if he’d stayed (or still decides to stay) would the same wanker be thanking Chansiri?

If Windass has gone then it might be why we've been linked with Peart-Harris.

Windass (and Bannan) has been putting in a fair few shifts with that personal trainer mate of his and the MLS season is currently about half way through.

" Chansiri should give Windass a 3 year contract "

"Damn you Chansiri, handing out long contracts to 30 year olds"

Windass won't play for us again.

He s off to MLS. Been this way since before he came back from injury.

I think so too, unless we offered a lot more than he's already on he was always leaving. No way was we going to increase his wages considering his record with injuries along with his age.

Read somewhere today, might have been on here, that his wife to be is American so it all makes sense.

Crann trying to link Bailey Cadamateri with a move.

Thought Crann was fucking off? Instead he's still lobbing grenades at the club he 'loves'.

3 PL clubs interested but Crann's not saying which ones. Instead, once you get past the inane puff bollox, he just rehashes the story that Man City and West Ham were sniffing before Bailey signed pro.
