Pre season stuff……swfc related.

Watched both these today and the Jamal Lowe one got me a bit giddy to be honest.

Once the distraction of Sundays game is over with I can get back to getting even more excited 💙💙💙💙💙

HMS Piss this league is calling all passengers to the boarding gate 🫡

Interesting take on the Brighton game from a decent poster on Stalk . Apparently the Brighton game was hastily arranged with Brighton paying our fares there and back . Now Premier league clubs don't usually do lessser clubs favours without a reason . 2 scenarios

1 ) Impressed with the development of Beadle, Brighton looking  towards us as a feeder club with a view to developing their younger talent . They have a German  left sided CB Noel Atom which they bought from RB Leipzig , prime candidate for development under DR

2) A bit more sinister . Once thing that Brighton are excellent at is forward planning . They also  have a very good scouting system . Could be checking out  DR for manager in a couple of years time   or having a look at Cadamarteri

It looks like there’s some relationship building going on, but I don’t doubt that the motivations for that could be any and all that you’ve suggested. I think it’s clear that unless we go up in the next couple of seasons and then get a takeover where there’s going to be a huge amount of investment within a season or two after that, Röhl is going to end up leaving. I don’t think that closer ties with Brighton is going to change that and the same goes for any of our players who might pique their interest - if they’re likely good enough for the PL then we’ll get an offer from someone. Therefore, I think the downsides for us are limited and getting one or two quality loans could make a real difference.

Could have been a few more than 4 !

Not that pre season means anything, well apart from last season where that was a true indicator of the mess to come.

We played a team who play a high press and were playing their last pre season game, it will offer more to the squad than rolling over the likes of Alfreton.

We shouldnt get carried away with the wins or losses in pre season

Agreed, indeed pre season wins may carry you forward a bit into a new season before reality hits home and vice versa.

Last season was frankly a mess that did continue. The 4 or so league and cup games in, it got worse not better. Then confidence all round drops.

The reality is you need to be playing OK but more salient get an early win once the season commences

Was thinking the same. Piling on like at an all inclusive

The nutritionists at the club will be monitoring what they have and if doing double sessions will need the calories.

We should feel honoured that teams like them want to have their final pre season game against us. Much better for us as well imagine if we’d played Chesterfield away and just beat them and start pulling each others pants down 🤣🤣🤣🤣
